Is there really no way of loading a tune into my car? I tuned a car at Brands, & when I go to another track the tune is gone. There is a reset to default tab & a save tab but no load tune tab. WTF?
Since setups are tied to each track, the only solution is to manage your setups from the main menu, AFAIK. Once you load the Brands setup in the Garage, you can save a copy of that setup to any track or multiple/all at once.

Thanks; but how do I do that?

From the main menu, you'll find "My Garage" in the second screen to the right of the main screen. Select the car and load your setup, and if you open it with "Edit Current Setup" you can copy it over to other tracks with the save function.

@Wolfe - Thanks for taking the time to explain that. I'll try it the next time I'm on P CARS.

:)

There's a unsung hero feature in Project Cars that not to many other games have. Try and guess what the feature is :)

I'll give you a hint? Its something you cant do in games like AC or DC :)

Really hope this feature returns in 2

I'm gonna try to complete all the invitation events before pcars2 comes out. But first I need to win a championship in the endurance series.

I'm years behind with this, but I've played a little recently and I'm struggling with the game. It just doesn't seem to be much fun. I just seem to be stuck in endless rounds of running a Mk1 Escort or old Mercedes. I'm going through and winning each race but its turning in to a bit of a chore. the AI seem quite happy to run across the grass hit you in the middle of a corner, they can run off track as fast as you can on it but you can't do the same. The cars aren't that fun to drive, set up is limited.

Am I missing something? it let me do a few races in a single seater which were much more entertaining but then it was back to the escort and merc.

@DriveSpark -- You can decline invitational events (such as the races with the older touring cars like the Escort/AMG) to get back to racing for the team you signed up with for the season. You'll get the option to do the invitationals again in the next season (and every year, even after you've completed them before).

Nothing you can do about the AI though, they're just horrible cheats period. They're a bit better than what we had to deal with in GT5/6, but woefully inconsistent track to track. Some tracks they seem to be okay with but most have a spot where they do something completely stupid which means you have to make them faster to make up for it. Combine that with their tendency to be really fast into the corners and slow out means they can be a real handful when they are behind you even before they start completely cutting the track and smashing into whatever gets in their way.

They seem to be better(faster) in full-blown race cars for whatever reason.

And then there's the rain... man how I wish you could just turn that hopelessly broken feature off in the career mode.

I'm still quite enjoying the game for what it is though - only recently started it myself. I just have to keep reminding myself not to take it at all seriously.

I have a small question, I struggle with the openwheel class. AI seems to hook a lot into me (classic lotusses). I tried 60, 70, 80 and 90% but it doesn't seem to make a difference. How can I make those races more enjoyable?

Wait for Project Cars 2 with it's more advanced AI controls. One for skill and one for aggression. It's a well known fact that the AI in PCars is a bit aggressive in general so the open-wheel aspect just makes the impacts that much more race-ending. I've been getting frustrated myself lately at the collision detection how it glues when you bump. Pretty much any race I have is great until there's something like that and depending on the place on track it throws you way off or not even close to where you were before and that's race-ending as far as I'm concerned. Fun factor drops to zero.

So try your best to avoid contact, keep it between 60 and 80 depending on the track and your abilities.

Thanks for your answer. Was afraid it would be the answer ;)

I reduced the quantity to about 10 cars on track and it seems to improve a bit. Also flying starts helps. Will stick to the closed wheels in the careermode.

Pcars2 is out in september and I haven't played that much of Pcars1 so it was time to invest some time :D

It will be very different for me. I play with triple monitors, playseat and T300RS on PC.
On the PS4 I'll be playing on controller on the tv in my lounge.

Damn that's very different. Why can't you bring your PS4 over to your gaming area and just use the center monitor? Or if anything bring the playseat over to the lounge?

The crew chief app also helps massively, as having a spotter help you avoid a lot of AI issues as well.

I believe the demo version now runs on all tracks as well.

Just got the Complete Edition today. How does the career mode work exactly? I'm in the first kart section.
