The T100 will supposedly work like the T500 in PCars. It will not work in the PS4 menu. It will work in game except for no Share button support. You will need to use the DS4 for that (not a big problem)
i guess it will be better to try in a dealer in order to make an opinion
but in my case , i think i will buy project cars using my DS4 first and then wait a few days the feebacks from first racing wheels users!!!!

Ok cool, I was looking at the G25 wheel last night and thought that it looked like it could bolt straight on bar the buttons through the wheel.

The G25 has a slightly bolt spacing than a Momo wheel would. I think it's 50mm on the G25 vs 60mm on a Momo.
Of course you could just drill extra holes in the plastic adapter if it doesn't interfere with the hub connection onto the Thrustmaster base.

...I will miss the feel of the G25 leather wheel vs the rubber cheap feel of the t300...
From what I gather the T300 and G2x wheels have the same 50mm 6 bolt pattern. You may be able to move the G25 rim over to the T300. I'm contemplating this solution... If you try it, please let us know if it works out.

It's 70mm for most aftermarket wheels out there (Momo, OMP, Sparco etc.)

Ah, than I had that wrong in memory.
So that's 70mm for 6 bold Momo, 60mm for 6 bolt G25/G27, 50mm for 3 Bolt Momo pattern (small Formula style rims, etc). Correct?

Oh my, the T300 is looking even more expensive now. I love the Rimotech G2X - T300 pedal adapter, that's a great money saver, especially if the G2X pedals are already modded. 👍

What is the T300's FFB like on GT6 compared to the G25/7? For a true comparison it needs testing back-to-back on the same game (although that said, we can't do that on the PS4 anyway, the T300 isn't so much a replacement but a requirement for the PS4, we have no other decent alternative), I assume that the T300 is better, it should be smoother and quieter.

I've now gone down the PC route, I'm replacing my aging/dying PC with a new one and using the money that I would be otherwise spending on a T300+extras to get a new PC. I still want the G27 to work with the PS4 and if in the near future we can use our G27 on the PS4 I will certainly be doing that. But in the meantime I can use my PC instead. I'm fairly pleased with my decision, I needed a new PC anyway, so all I did was spend a little bit extra on my PC than I would have done (about £150 more) so that it'll run PCars and any other games that I choose to throw at it. :)

yes is better in every aspect, way smoother, no deadzones, way better forcedfeedback. Just the wheel not the pedals.
However is also very good loooking the GTE version, the paddle shifter are great too and the buttons positioning is so perfect for DRS/ Kers combo.

However if you can for a pc that's the best solution for sure (except for driveclub, gt7 and seb loeb rally evo)

Testing on a friend's PC the 2 wheels (his G27 and my T300RS) using GTR2 and Game Stock Car Extreme the T300 is much better. Stronger, smoother and more detail. What those PC games show on my Thrustmaster are how less involving the force feedback is in GT6. It's not dreadful but when compared to those above games and even less simulation type games like Driveclub and The Crew on PS4 the FFB is better on all of those.

Cheers John. 👍

So PD's FFB is nothing special then. I guess that's no real suprise, it always felt a little vague at times.

It's good to hear that the FFB on a T300 is better, at least that helps to justify the price a little. 👍

A lot of people that have upgraded to a T300 have been playing The Crew and DriveClub, which doesn't give a fair review on the improvement of the FFB, simply because we can't use the G25/7 on those games. :( Hopefully one day we can.

Has anyone tried pestering Sony/Logitech recently for an update? Sadly I don't use Twitter otherwise I'd be giving them hell.

I'm so close to buying a T300RS as I can't use my DFGT. I've heard mixed reviews on here and on other sites but I just can't justfi paying over £200 for a 2nd wheel. I just hope the prices drop but I'll dought it will as they don't have any competition on the consoles.

I just noticed over the weekend that the RS has had a price drop over at amazon, maybe you could check it out.

I heard mixed reviews as well and posted a thread here about it. In the end I bought a T300 GTE, it took a little getting used to after using the DFGT. There seem to have been less issues since the firmware was updated. Overall though the 300 is a massive step up from the DFGT and I am very happy with it.

If you decide to buy a T300, be prepared to open the pedal set to get rid of the deadzone. Without that (easier than it sounds) fix, the package is frustrating. Once done, though, you'll ('d) start really enjoying it. 👍

a problem i didn't experienced, my pedals are fine and no deadzone at all. however i read of many issues with the pedals.

Me either, I sent the 1st set back hoping it was just a dodgy production one and I was right. The 2nd set are fine.

Fair enough. :)
probably just luck (till now still working) as i read here on the forum that almost everyone replaced their pedals set.

The wheel is amazing, the only problem is reliability now, from my point of view is always really annoying having to spend around 300€ and find yourself going into a replacement process or open up the wheel to fix it. But hey.. i had a 110€ DFGT which for my standards was probably the best deal ever.

I'm thinking about getting the t500 because my DFGT won't work anymore, I was also thinking about these 'fanatec' set-ups'. It costs a lot but all I play is racing games so maybe it's worth it... But does fanatec work on PS4? or just thrustmasters? Thanks, couldn't read the whole topic, just new here ;)

The T500 is not officially compatible with the PS4, it just happens to work, which is a bit odd really as it's lacking the so called 'security chip' that Sony requires.

Fanatec wheels don't work on the PS4 either.

Choice is incredibly limited and the best official wheel is a T300. Add onto that a Thrustmaster shifter and 3-pedal set-up and you'll have a good rig. The main issue is price and reliability.

There's always the choice of sticking with PS3 & our current wheels, foregoing Project CARS altogether. Personally, I'd rather do that than be cajoled into expensive upgrades.

I think I'll go for the T300 then :) I might wait a while for the price to drop but I know I won't have the patience.. thankfully they don't 'push' me to buy another playseat...

it not a choice for me, there is nothing on par with project cars on old consoles. For me is impossible to resist. I'm so hyped.

A year ago i was very upset that my fanatec csr wheel was not compatible with ps4 and xbox one, but i get over it and invest in a xbox one, a thrustmaster tx wheel and a new playseat. And i must admit that the tx wheel is a step forward to the fanatec csr, at least the wheel. The standard pedals are a bit plastic but they are not worse than the standard csr pedals. So i'm ready for Project Cars on Xbox One now :)

Good to know it feels better as i own a CSR too. In any case my plan is to buy a pc in the coming months when PCARS has been released and use my CSR with it + buy an Xbone later on this year and use the improved pad for that one.

ps. 3 Belgians on one page

You know that Fanatec did announce a deal with XBone in the fall?. No details yet I'm aware of and I'm not sure if they are working on backwards compatibility or not.

EDIT: It's better than I thought.

Available soon, fans will be able to enable Xbox One compatibility on their Fanatec wheel bases by simply attaching an Xbox One steering wheel to an Xbox One enabled Fanatec wheel base (like the ClubSport Wheel Base V2), making their whole system compatible to Xbox One. Additional details and features will be announced soon.

Good news indeed:cheers:

Upgrades are a part of going to a next gen console. It's $500 ish dollars to get your PCars + console as a minimum. Unless one is abandoning modern gaming altogether and sticking with 10 year old hardware, which is an option, spending a good chunk of change is unavoidable. Having to spend for a new wheel sucks of course, but we have no choice if we want to enjoy the depth, complexity and visually stunning nature of a game like PCars, DriveClub, Forza, GT7 etc. I'd venture to guess that most people wandered in here because they want to play this game so not buying the game + console/pc + perhiperals (if affordable) isn't really an option most of us are considering.

Yes i'm aware that there is gonna be new fanatec wheel for Xbox One, but it is way too expensive and i'm very happy with my thrustmaster tx + playseat !

Wheel upgrades aren't always part of going next gen. For instance; when changing from PS2 to PS3 I didn't have to upgrade, my DF Pro still worked fine. And like I've said before, it's by no means definite that Logitech wheels won't work at some point in the future, so there's no need to be absolutist about it.

My G25 is only 5 years old & is in good working order, I don't consider it 10 year old hardware. Besides, what with the weak FFB in GT games I haven't even gotten the most out of it yet. I'd love to see what it feels like in P CARS, & based on what I felt through my friends Fanatec CSR wheel, it would be great!

Obviously I'd have to buy the new console & software, which would be about £350. At the moment I simply cannot afford to spend anything more.

I've decided to wait & see how things pan out, & am quite happy not to pick up P CARS on day one. If Sony/Logitech/Immersion or whoever doesn't figure out a way of supporting Logitech wheels on PS4, then I won't be getting one, period.

:)
