I'd be quite annoyed if they did decide to make the G27 compatible. Ordered my T300 GTE yesterday and will get it some time next week hopefully!

I'm not sure what I'll do with mine now. It's in brilliant condition. I have one friend who might like to buy it off me, so I might get a bit of money back.

Logitech Legacy Support Campaign HQ! Write A Review On Amazon

VBR
You do realise that you can write a review of the G29 on Amazon before it's released? GET WRITING PEOPLE!!! :mischievous:

I have started a campaign against Logitech for failing to answer customer inquiries regarding legacy wheel support, & for trying to fleece us with their overpriced G29.

More details here.

Also for f1 2015 wheels list has been released and it's the same of pcars with fanatecs but not logitechs... but g29 supported at launch.

Sony shouldn't be just chillin' either - I estimate a good number of people have moved or will move from console to PC as a result of G27 incompatibility - they stand to lose too.
I sincerely doubt that. Nowhere has it been claimed that a G25/27 would work on PS4.
Why would someone buy a PS4, wait for G25/27 support, get fed up of waiting and then buy a PC.

Anyone who went that route I'd blame themselves.

Quite a few haven't bought a PS4 yet .;)

I'm contemplating selling mine too as its gathering dust.

PC gaming is becoming increasingly popular now, the games are incredibly good and more and more people are ditching their consoles. Sony will be well aware .

Edit// it was claimed that the PS3 wheels would work on a PS4 prior to the launch of Drive Club.

Really? I bought my first wheel 18 month ago. It was a T500rs. I chose it over Logitech and Fanatec wheels because it was the only one claiming PS4 compatibility at the time.

Yep. 👍

Col Rodgers, Game Director on upcoming PS4 racing game DriveClub, has confirmed all current commercial racing wheels compatible with PlayStation 3 will also be fully compatible with PlayStation 4.

Doubts about compatibility started to arise a month ago when Microsoft announced their new XBOX One isn’t going to be compatible with any XBOX360 accessories, including their own Microsoft Wheel or current wheels from companies like Fanatec and MadCatz.

Fortunately racing wheel owners interested in PS4 have nothing to worry about.

Not sure why everyone is so upset over legacy support. It's never been said or advertised that the G25-7 would ever work with the PS4. I just think all this anger is directed towards the wrong thing. It should be mainly on the outrageous price of the G29. Just my opinion on this whole situation.

Personally I've tended to adopt a policy echoed in the old adage of "buyer beware" and "assumptions are the mother of all 🤬 ups"
Not being sure whether legacy wheels would be supported or not, making a purchase of a new wheel shortly before a new console generation would've been a bit rash at best. So when my aging G25 needed upgrading I figured it'd be best to see how things turned out with the new consoles first. Having said that though I do understand the frustration that many Logitech owners feel considering their PS2 wheels worked with PS3 so it seemed natural to assume they would work with PS4, but them assumptions....

FYI they seem to be constantly posting new photos/messages to their facebook page to bury the older posts with all the hate in the comments. They even went as far deleting their latest post that I responded too and reposting it to get rid of my comment(presumably).

I just posted on Logitech's facebook page and pasted the same message in the comments of every post that has to do with sim racing. If they're gonna delete my comments they're at least gonna have to put some effort into it. And then I'll put the effort into doing it again. If we keep at it something will happen, even if it's only a statement.

They are getting a TON of hate on their FB page right now. They have to know they need to say SOMETHING. Any decent company should know that they can't let their PR spin out of control like this. Especially in the midst of a new product launch.

If they were smart and it is REALLY true that PS4 support is not possible or cost prohibitive, they should have offered some sort of incentive to their existing base. Like "Hey guys. Sorry we cant support our old wheels on PS4, but as a way to thank you for your support, click this link and register your DFGT/G27/G25 serial number and we will send you this coupon for $50/$100/$150 (whatever, but don't be cheap cuz it'll backfire) off of a G29."

I'd be ok with that.

I'd be ok with that too, as long as it brought the price down under $250 where it should be. Especially now that the shifter is sold seperately.

We live in a bubble, and are prone to thinking that we're much more of a force than we really are.

Meanwhile, others are listening to their Logitechs, clicking their Logitechs, typing on their Logitechs, ......... They look..... "Ah, Logitech do little toy wheels now. Cute." They read about the compatibility controversy, then shrug and click Buy It Now on their new smart phone. Shelling out for their yearly purchase of the incrementally improved device.

Seriously. Revel in the fact that you can buy a product with revelatory advances in tech, and enjoy life again. After all, the best revenge is to live well, right? Thrustmaster, Fanatec, or a swathe of combined pc component makers are eager to help you out with that.

You're entitled to your opinion, and to some people with tight wallets, like me, it matters and it's worth taking the few minutes to voice discontent with a company we've already given our money to. And if these people you so dramatically described have a brain it should throw up a red flag that they're screwing their customers over and they should spend their money elsewhere.

If that's the way you operate, fine. But your posts aren't providing anything helpful to the topic.

Sony could authenticate any usb device it wanted with a simple driver update.

Logitech are innocent.

Sony doesn't write drivers for third parties. Nor it should.

Besides, there is the Fanatec case to show that the initiative of bringing legacy hardware to PS4 must come from the manufacturer.

Or do you believe that Logitech didn't just chose not to support old wheels in order to hype and promote their new overly expensive product?

We are fortunate to have wheel manufacturers like Logitech and Thrustmaster IMO. Hope both stay in business and also Logitech offer G27, G25 and DFGT drivers to game developers if possible.

Sony could use the same generic device drivers that logitech provide for PC

It's an absence of positive, rather than a negative situation here. The wheels function as promised.

I doubt that too many people here would be happy if they were held to ransom and expected to do 18 months for a 12 month work contract, doing the extra 6 months for free, and paying for extra help out of their own pocket no less.

Sony, in that case, would have to pay for a license with Immersion Touchsense I'd imagine.
