**IF** SMS would **ACTUALLY** state what the **REAL** reasons are then my assumptions would be unnecessary, wouldn't they? ;-)

No, I am reading between the lines and trying to glean some more information. Sometimes it is what people don't say is more revealing than what they do say ;-)

Oh I do understand how complex it is, what I don't understand is how SMS can make these wild guesses at release dates. They seem to have less of an idea at how complex it is than you or I ;-)

So let's try this again and see how I go for twisting what people are saying. Everyone is saying how the PC Beta version is very good and ready to ship as is. We have had 3 delays. There are several videos floating around about how well the PS4 copes with the game. So far I have only seen one for the XBone (and it was only recently). It would appear to me the delays are console based and in particular the XBone. Possibly the Wii but I know of no one that even cares.

How am I going so far "for twisting" what people say? ;-)

So why can't SMS actually come out and say what the problem is? Or do what everyone else does and have someone leak the official reason or have some exec. during a press conference spill the beans.

At the end of the day it would be nice to just know what is actually happening. Just remember it is not me making these wild guesses at release dates either, I am just commenting on them and trying to figure out *WHY* SMS is getting it sooooo wrong.
Firstly I said it could be released. There aren't many bugs I've encounter however with PC different PC specs and configurations can add or decrease the bug count. Along side this the patch noted also include bug fixes for the consoles.
Again different hardware and software. Just because I have said it could be released doesn't mean it should. In the context of many games being released it's way in front interns of optimisation and bug fixes. However we want the best for the game and we won't release until were happy.
Now please stop and move on.

It strikes me that you will not believe any explanation that doesn't involve revealing some kind of sinister plot, and you will not accept that NDAs are in place. It's not going anywhere - perhaps it's time to give it a rest now.

Edit: Ninja'd!

I will quote myself here from a previous post "At the end of the day it would be nice to just know what is actually happening. Just remember it is not me making these wild guesses at release dates either, I am just commenting on them and trying to figure out *WHY* SMS is getting it sooooo wrong."

Several people (you obviously as well) would just like me to shut up and go sit quietly and the corner and not ask the hard questions and watch SMS keep throwing darts at a calendar for the next release date.

Now please stop and move on.

I am sorry to disappoint you. This is a valid topic in an open discussion forum and I am legitimately discussing it.

Please see my reply to Wilfred_1 above.

1. Nobody that posts in here knows the answers to your questions.
2. Anyone that does know the answer, is bound by a Non-disclosure agreement and cannot tell you the answer.

Ipso facto, continuing to ask the same questions over and over and over and over, when you been told over and over why they won't be answered is silly. You will not get an answer here, end of story. If you want to complain about the game, complain about why it's delayed, fine, go ahead, just don't be surprised if you get tuned out.

Is it answers or attention you're seeking?

If it's the former, just read the already posted build notes and the next ones that will be normally posted here on Fridays.

My guess though it's the latter and you'll just go on and on and on and on..

..see further down the thread what I mean:

So you're basing your assumption on the fact that there is more PS4 footage out than XB1, thus the XB1 version is in trouble causing the delay? Well get me Scotland Yards number, we've got a new Sherlock Holmes!

Oh and if you didn't know already the XB1 footage that has been show was from an Oct 2014 build (some members noticed some old audio and the old overlays). Hmm seemed to be running pretty well 5-6 months ago

Assumptions are unnecessary, period.

No, I am reading between the lines
So you're making stuff up. Good that we all know now. There is nothing between the lines, as @Johnnypenso already explained.

Everyone is saying how the PC Beta version is very good and ready to ship as is.
Lie. See my earlier post, other WMD members posts as well as the lack of comments of several other WMD members.

It would appear to me the delays are console based and in particular the XBone. Possibly the Wii but I know of no one that even cares.
Baseless assumptions, both of them.

How am I going so far "for twisting" what people say? ;-)
Pretty good: one lie and two assumptions in just three sentences. I'd say that's pretty good twisting, and that's not even counting your earlier posts...

^ I'm seeing some parallels to a completely different fairy tale which involves the biological counterpart to this:

So let's try this again and see how I go for twisting what people are saying.

You're doing "well" IMO:

Everyone is saying how the PC Beta version is very good and ready to ship as is.

Not everyone says this. Not me, and I'm sure FLX1981 neither.
"very good"? Yes
"ready to ship"? no

How am I going so far "for twisting" what people say? ;-)

As already said, you're doing well. ;)

So why can't SMS actually come out and say what the problem is?

Frankly spoken: Because it's none of your/our business.
Not even us WMD members get to know what exactly was the reason so don't expect them to announce it to the public.

I am starting to see some parallels here and the "Emperor's New Clothes" fairy tale ;-)

For those playing the latest build, do you think that the game will be ready for mid-May? Or do you feel that it needs even more time. I'm not asking in relation to what SMS are saying but rather from what you have played.

From playing I can say that there are still bugs but it has already less bugs compared to some released games. It is playable and enjoyable as it is now and I can't see a bug big enough to stop the May release. But again, we don't know what happens under the surface and we only see the PC version.

as long as it's an amusing bug rather than a game-breaker then I'll be happy. nothing wrong with some occasional AI madness or suchlike.

There were some comments from others that those old overlays and such may simply be due to the console version getting those updates later than the pc version and as such arent really a reason for assuming its an old console build. Perhaps getting the console builds caught up with the current pc build is all we're waiting for. Who knows, no one that can confirm in any case. The video maker did state quite specifically though that it was running at 1080p so thats a nice bit of info for the people insistant that its an xbox performance problem.

Nope, that's not the way the Dev engine works. Every time there is a new update, it automatically generates a new version for each format - PC, Xbone and ps4. None of this let's get it fixed and the console can catch up, because the bug may not be fixed on the console versions, so they need to keep on top of it.

Perhaps so. No reason to think that even if thr video was made recently that it wasnt made on older build. I think though that the fact it was supposedly running at 1080p on an old build does even more to put rest any concerns about the xbox being able to handle it or that xbox is whats holding up the release. Makes it seem more likely that something really just wasnt up to their standards and they want it "polished" before release. Not that its really relevant or that we'll ever know anyway. Just for idle speculation purposes. It'll get here when it gets here, I just hope delays dont scare off any would be buyers. I may even buy an extra copy just to give to someone that might like it if they tried it.

......................Anyone that does know the answer, is bound by a Non-disclosure agreement and cannot tell you the answer.

I assume that Ian Bell knows the answer(s)....... but now I'm curious if there's a higher authority like a Board of Directors that he takes direction from.......

The actual date hasn't been set in concrete so they (who you pre-ordered with) are just covering all bases by saying 31st May.
