And Real Racing 3 (mobile/tablet game) has Suzuka too I think. So it's not an exclusive license, it may have costed too much to acquire due to the limited budget.

Agreed. Maybe that's the reason why. WMD isn't a powerhouse like Polyphony Digital, so they don't have as much funding as them...that could be the reason why. The asking price for the Suzuka licensing fees may have been a bit too high... #conspiracytheory

Stock Car Extreme - it focuses on Brazilian touring cars... Hmm... But their game's graphical quality aren't as superior as Project CARS have! :D I don't understand why would Suzuka license to such a game like Stock Car Extreme...
No it's not on the same level as PCars graphically but it is nevertheless a very entertaining game with good FFB and very good AI. Suzuka will license to anyone that pays for the licensing, they don't pick and choose between games they like and don't like. It's not on my list of top 20 favourite tracks so I'm indifferent as to whether it's in the game or official for that matter. I'd rather they spend the money on a different circuit.

There's a free demo for GSCE if you want to try it.

I have a hunch that Suzuka's owners reacted poorly to the track being shown off on YouTube/etc. before SMS negotiated the license, even if it was under a different name, which would explain why the track had to be altered instead of just keeping the name "Sakitto". I don't think it was a matter of cost.

Well, I think we can only guess why the layout is different now, but after trying the final layout for the first time yesterday, I have to admit that I couldn't care less about Suzuka. I really like the Suzuka layout but Sakitto is even better! No slow corners and it has a great "flow" for faster cars like the LMP without getting

Another #conspiracytheory... Hmm... I'm not sure how the owners of Suzuka reacted...a bit disappointing on our end.

can someone tell me if i'm going mad because this video was posted on youtube just the other day and the track looks to me like an exact replica of the Suzuka F1 track, along with the S bends near the start, the left-hand hairpin and the final chicane. other Sakitto videos i've seen didn't have these turns. is it an older build?

In many ways, I'm really looking forward to driving Sakitto. Even though Suzuka is one of my favourite tracks, friends and I have driven the place to death since GT5:Prologue. Since Prologue, we hadn't driven it that much, until PD brought the updated version.

So having this similar layout, with the slow corners taken away, is going to give the place a whole new lease of life for me. I also love the way SMS have brought the east loop around where the hairpin should be. Very neat design choice.

ok thanks, that makes sense. didn't think it was that old because I thought the tire temp HUD only changed to look like that recently, but nevermind, the revised Sakitto looks pretty good as well

Get yourself the T300. It's pricey but it's so worth it.
thats the plan but its not like ive got much choice, my hand has been forced.should be able to recoup most of the cost from selling my g27. just seems like alot of people reporting t300 problems at the moment so hope they get them sorted soonish

As I posted somewhere else, I haven't had any issues yet, and two friends that bought theirs in the last few weeks haven't had any either. Maybe the first few batches had issues, which isn't uncommon with new gear.

And as i posted before my TX wheel has 400+ hours on Forza 5 and 200+ on FH2 since a year ago and i have no problems with it.

Will the classic Milan also have the combined layout?

You have to remember that it is a very fast circuit, and 10km per lap (fastest combined lap time was 162 seconds), about 4.5 hours of racing (5hr including pit stops).

Any WMD members have any updates on Planned/Confirmed Tracks like Macau? Have there been discussions around the time frame of the DLCs?
