Project CARS track list

what I love about the track list is the fantastic lack of tilkedromes. What annoys me most with all F1 tracks is the thousand miles of ugly TARMAC run off at every corner. In a way, thank goodness F1 has never been to Laguna Seca, Road America, Mid Ohio (or the Glen, Zolder etc for a good 30-35 years) etc....it hasn't had the chance to butcher them and ruin the lovely scenery. For me the scenery and proximity of the barriers influences the excitement i feel when racing, as silly as that sounds.

I've also missed Road America since NFS: Shift. If only Indy Car still raced there.

As much as I agree with your thoughts on the quality of those classic tracks, there is a significant difference in safety. There have been some incredibly ugly crashes at some of those tracks in recent years in machinery much slower than an F1 car. Like it or not, things are the way they are for a reason. (And for the record, I'll take a natural road course of a Tilkedrome any day of the week, but above and beyond that, I'm thankful for harmless spins over sickening impacts.)

I unfortunately can't disagree with you. That is the beauty of video games - we can enjoy these beautiful, if dangerous, tracks without the fear of getting hurt.

I've watched some Azure Circuit videos, it's probably the best version of Monaco I've ever seen in a video game.

Are the F1 games the only ones on consoles with Interlagos?
Yes.
I really like Interlagos, it would be awesome if SMS added that track to Pcars. I was hoping that PD would include Interlagos & Estoril with the Senna content, but unfortunately PD & logic don't seem to go well together.

Totally agree with you about Monaco, I also hoped they'ed include Yas Marina and COTA. I know not many ppl like modern tracks but I enjoy those two.

That PD joke made me laugh out loud XD

That Alabama track that Indy Car is racing on right now looks like a blast to drive!
Quick as hell and hidden corners everywhere.

I do feel sorry for all the American sport fans tho with all the commercial breaks you have to suffer thru in every sport, jeez.

Yeah the track looks really cool! Here in Germany on Sport1US (ex. ESPN Europe) they still show the race during commercial breaks, just without commentary.

Same here luckily! You can hear the commentators laughing and eating during the breaks xD.
What's the name of the track? Really like it!

Its Barber Motorsport in Alabama. I like the up's and down's here. I can only hear the cars, no secret commentary here :D

No chance seeing it in the game in the future? :)
Haha it's fun hearing them mocking each other for saying the wrong names and so on.

Yeah Barber Motorsports looked cool, I liked the look of the NOLA track in Louisiana too that they raced a couple of weeks ago, I'm not keen on the street circuits though.

I have watched many videos for the PS4 in the run up and amazed how far the game has evolved in the graphics dept even on you tube it looks great now. The Azure track looks like it will be one of my favourites. Can't wait to get to drive round this soon.:gtpflag:

Any news on whether or not Catalunya will be included in the retail version of PCars? I hear it's in the Gold build but has not been officially announced yet because of licensing. Just wondering if anyone can give us the inside scoop on what's happening with it.

I wish they would add Mosport
( Canadian Tire Motorsport Park)
Has everthing there, oval, road, kart and testing facility.

I too would love to see this added. It's my home track.

@killerjimbag - FYI the oval is gone. It was bulldozered last year to make room for the new driving school facility.

It would be awesome if they included Thruxton in Pcars (fastest track in the UK) along with the other UK tracks already present. Love this circuit and adds a different dimension to racing. This circuit really does show up the men from the boys and having seriously big balls really can earn you time around here (or a highspeed trip into a ditch). That said Willow Springs looks as if it has certain similarities so cant wait to get my hands on that.

Yes Thruxton for sure. After a few championships in GT5 and 6 I can say that simple tracks give the best racing and this one is simple and very fast.

Thruxton would indeed be a nice addition, especially seeing as actual races there are less regular than other UK circuits. Will be there for the BTCC in 10 days, just after PCars launches, will come home wanting it in the game even more i suspect, lol.

Hi! I am new to this forum and also to this game; I´d like to ask, whether this tracklist provided here is final, or there are few more to come, which are not on this list?

That is all for the main release

Exactly. The list in the OP is the list for release, but there will be more tracks to come as DLC (some of which are already mentioned in the OP, like ovals and historic tracks). Also I think its safe to say that there will be more that you unwashed masses dont know about yet. :D

Thank you very much for your replies! I was just wondering.. I´m pretty happy with the list, there is just one track which I am missing, namely the Paul Ricard circuit, would be cool to have that.

Paul Ricard is great. Huge speed on the straights and tricky chicanes throughout! Also a bunch of blind corners too.
