I was watching a PS4 live feed on twitch last night and Catalunya (fully licenced) was on the track list.
Thanks for the update, hopefully that's right. It has been appearing on the track list recently but was to be patched out if the licensing didn't happen. If it has happened, hooray.

Sakitto is pretty much Suzuka, minus the odd chicane or hairpin, and by all accounts it seems like a lot of folk like the changes. the lack of some of the S-bends at the start is a small gripe for me, but the rest of it looks decent.

I could do with out the chicane, although pulled some nice overtakes there in GT and iRacing, but no hairpin? That's to much for me, it's my favorite corner after the Degners and it's also one of the main overtaking spots, well for me at least. Why couldn't they just model Suzuka and name it something else, like they did with Catalunya.

someone else could better explain this, but i think they modeled both as accurate tracks but in the end they got the license for Catalunya but not for Suzuka, so instead of throwing it out, they modified it. there's a few different layouts so perhaps one has the hairpin in? i haven't played the game yet haha

Maybe this has something to do with why there's no Hondas in PCars, or Motegi for that matter.

Correct, Honda owns both of those tracks. In response to @Devilb0y 's comments, I am not sure what Honda's view on it would be, but I think it is safe to assume that the Honda license and the Track licenses would be related..... I doubt we would ever see a time where the tracks are in a game but the cars aren't.

Speaking hypothetically, and not for pCARS specifically the opposite could be a more likely possibility though (cars in but tracks not). If I remember correctly there was a short time in GT's life where the cars were in the game but the tracks were not.

It's like that in GT6, we have the Ascari Race Resort but none of the cars.

Guys does anyone know about the build progress of the Macau circuit? I have high hope of this track and Asian people are dying for that if it is in!

As a fan, I can only hope asap. At least before this year's Macau GP. I want night/wet race on this track where all the building lights reflected on the track.

Anyone know if any of the future DLC tracks will be included into the career mode?

I'm hyping like crazy to replicate this

Monza GP, 1966

James Garner was in the 1966 Monza GP? I knew he was talented but...

probably from the movie Grand Prix...

 Yeah, recognized him immediately as well... still a great photo (and film)

And also STILL the best racing movie ever made (although Steve McQueen's "Le Mans" runs a very close second).

I would swap those (just the fact that you have to wait until over 30 minutes into the movie to hear the first line makes it unique)

I can't argue with that. In all honesty, even for me it's too close to call between the 2 of them.

will the classic Monza have the combined 'road' + oval layout, as used for a couple of F1 grands prix in the 60s, or will they be separate?

I assume there will be both combined and separate layouts. Everything is fully modelled, thats all we know so far.
That's down to licensing agreements I suppose? Everyone also expected the Nurburgring 24h and VLN layouts, but so far this hasn't happened...

The VLN was never built as a whole so far though, unlike classic Monza. Its all right there, even the chicanes at the beginning of the oval and before the second curve of it that were sometimes used in vintage touring car races.
