I will say, at the moment, no it won't. However, there is still a lot of optimisation, LOD creation and driver optimisation work to be WRT the ATi cards, so we can report back a bit closer to release.

Wow thats crazy. So I hope for an Fanatec support on PS4.

WiiU for me. I think it will be popular on Nintendo's console, and here's why - No sim racing games (in fact, for the wiiu, I don't even think there is a decent arcadey game other than a port of some NFS game), plus I'm thinking of all the fathers whose children have a WiiU - there is no option for games for them really, and this might just be the ticket. Well I hope so anyway. This will be my next console as it will be something my wife and I can agree on. Plus, it has (probably) the biggest "racing" game of all time in Mario Kart.

For the people getting the WiiU version are you guys worried about the button layout having no analog controls? How well do other racing games work on it?

I will most likely be getting the PC version depending on how well it runs.

Are there even any steering wheels that work on the Wii U?

@detergent -- If the motion control steering works out well, each analog stick could be used in place of triggers. Otherwise, the right stick could be used for throttle and braking, which is a setup I'm comfortable with. Apart from that, SMS plan to implement filters that soften the application of throttle/brakes on digital buttons. I wouldn't run with ABS off in that case, but in terms of throttle control it would be a close match to how I play PS2 games, given the short range of the joystick and pressure-sensitive buttons.

In theory, SMS could also support the GameCube controller adapter that was just announced, perhaps in an update.

@VBR -- I'm considering a solution like this.

Definitely PS4. Definitely with a VR headset when released.

PC will look the best, but I've migrated away because I was tired of constantly dealing with hackers, & seemed like everytime a new game came out I was having to shell out big $$ on PC upgrades. Bought PS4 last year, buying Project CARS this year, and VR headset hopefully next year.

Built a sim rig with a Buttkicker over the winter. Hopefully, Logitech will get their finger out their @!$ and get some updated drivers for their racing wheels!!!!

There should be a option of none. All of the above is crazy thing to do

If I ever get it. Then PS4 version
Why would none be an option in a PCars forum? If at this point someone is convinced enough to check the [none] box, why would that person be here?

There are those (presumably younger) members who accidentally wander out of the Gran Turismo section via the "Recent Posts" box. You can tell because they'll leave a one-liner post in response to the thread title, either announcing their lack of interest in the subject or wondering why everyone is talking about something that isn't Gran Turismo. ;)

Id rather have it on PS4 so i can play with friends etc but if my modded DFGT with G27 pedals doesnt work on PS4 like it did on PS3 then it'll have to be PC, either that or use it as an excuse to get a new wheel :mischievous:

PS4 with Morpheus. I'm hoping my G27 will work, but if not I'll get a T300. Though my mind is wavering to upgrade to the T300 anyway and use my G27 pedals and shifter...

I have a powerful enough gaming PC, but I use it for games other than racing. So having a steering wheel set up there is a big hassle. My rig is permanently set up in a separate room. I tried playing SimRaceway before, and it was actually easier for me to move my computer over to my rig rather than the other way around. But the wheel still gets in the way of a keyboard.

I have the same problem and I hate to play on the 19 inch pc monitor. So I bought an 5m hdmi cable and connected it to my receiver and the 42 inch screen. Now when I race Assetto corsa on pc it feels almost like on an console.

That's why it's wise to wait until we know for sure. Wheel incompatibility is the main reason to switch to PC for me as i'm tired of these money grabbing policies. Our wheels are perfectly fine so we shouldn't have to throw them away just because console makers dictate so.

I was at gamescon last year and people were using a T500RS on DriveClub PS4 edition so i think all current wheels will be supported for PS4. T500RS is already confirmed by DriveClub dev's to have full support in their game, i think it's only fair that the other PS3-wheels will also be supported.

Gives me hope at least 👍

Yeah, but from what I've read I think I would prefer the T300. The base is supposedly better, even though it doesn't produce quite as much torque as the T500RS. It also should be cheaper, but doesn't come with 3-pedals and shifter, which is why I want to use the G27 ones with it.

The T500RS will work, but wouldn't have full functionality in menus. Which to me isn't really a problem, but if the T300 will have full compatibility then of course that's preferable.

I don't have a gaming PC so I don't ever consider it an option. The only game I've played on my PC was Diablo III, but that was built to run on even low-end PCs. I bought a One rather than a PS4 partially because Sony makes horrible controllers with retarded design choices and I shouldn't have to buy third-party controllers to compensate for Sony's dimwittedness, but mainly because I'm a big racing game fan, especially with the more simulation-y types, which pretty much means Forza since GT isn't worth much in modern times. Besides Forza just being better than GT, I get a regular stream of Forza games, with core titles every two years and the occasional Horizon sprinkled in there, versus GT where you get one every three to five years.

According to this it does.

Classic fanboy talk :D and saying that forza is a sim shows that you never played a real sim.

Yeaaaah just going to remind you this isn't a GT vs FM thread buddy, there's a thread for that...

It does what?

I've always thought the opposite. I hate Xbox controllers, while I think PS controllers have always been awesome. Probably because I started gaming with the SNES, and Playstation controllers have that same basic layout.
