ok now it's my turn on this tread to ask a question about GT4 :) hehe

Firstly I am amazed that alot of people on this forum can 100% finish GT3, this game is slowly falling into differcult mode for me :) Anyway to my question, is GT4 harder or easier than GT3? :scared: :)
 
First off, Wolf, don't get arrogant and aggressive against others. The people on this message board (a majority of them at least) make for some pretty good company online. So ease up on others, okay?

I'd sure like to drive away in the Tank Car and the Model T. Say what you want about cars in the game, but you have to admit that the selection of cars and genre is unlike any other in the Gran Turismo series. I think the oldest car to ever be in a GT game was probably a 1963 Corvette Sting Ray. Now look at the oldest car in the series- the Daimler Motor Coach (or whatever it's called). Sometimes, I usually tremble just knowing that this game will have some insane stuff in it, and get the ability to unlock it all and just go at it and given race day/night.

And by the way, Jedi should still be in his 20s, so I'd say he's pretty young. Older than me, though.

wolf, be the mature one and dont respond. First thing you gotta understand about these forums is there are lots of Disgruntled angry depressed people here. U know what they say about arguing online :P. Dont bother listening to people who don't even listen to themselves. 💡
No use arguing online, it goes nowhere.
There is no winner in inintelligent arguments online... I just wish people here would be more friendly, if there's a chance that anything you say in response to someone could piss somebody off, dont be suprised or offended if you get a rude response :dunce:

Imho GT3 is harder. :)
 
Egghead, have you installed stage 2 or 3 or 4 turbos on any car?
If so, does it compare to GT1? Is it similar to that of the Escudo in GT3?

Hmm, no didn't do that. I only race with Stock Cars (sometimes i add a muffler because i don't like the noise). I will check it out for you later today.

That's an excellent question. I've always wondered what the hp figures are when modified were like compared with GT3. For instance, is a fully modified R34 Skyline still 1076 hp, when broken in?

I never finished GT3 either for two reasons.

1) It became too easy to win with a highly tuned car. e.g. loads of power, best tires, and no real competition from the AI
2) I got my hands on the GT4 Demo (better comp, AI, & physics)

I've completed other non-GT series though - like NFS

For me the GT4 - Demo presented a better challenge than GT3, because the fastest car available for say nurburgring (skyline nur...) wasn't the fastest car (out classed by vette and viper).

And from what I see and hear about GT4 - it's difficult for me to go back to GT3.

You have just gone down and bought the last copy of GT4 on release date. You get home and you are very very excited about playing it. You put the disc into your PS2 and you are just about to play the first race. Then all of a sudden your PS2 goes on fire, and your GT4 disc melts inside it..............How gutted would you be?

Honest answers.

Well, on the bright side - GT4 is finally out in your area, and you can go buy it again. :)

Ok, that will be the car i will modify. Will make some screenshots of the modding process. I have around 9.5 million credits so money shouldn't be a problem. ;)

Yeah man, I feel ya on this one. I'd pay double, maybe tripple the cost of GT4 if I could get my hands on it today (local release version of course).
 
XPLOSV -- i think i can help with your gtr n1 question i have the n1 with the carbon bonnet and have it tuned to 880ps from memory lag dosent seem that bad but i was hoping for more power, i havent as yet tried to tune a normal gtr to see how much they get as i thought the n1 would be the real deal -ive forgoten about skylines for the moment now i have the rx7lm its so much fun!!

does anyone else in new zealand have gt4?i wouldent mind trying a lan race as normal 2 player is great fun and close racing
wangamfd3s, is that with the works performance mods (ie stage 4 turbo etc etc). If so, thats a dissapointment. And the lag, it cant be as lacking as in GT4 could it? I mean can you get wheelspin when in 2nd gear as boost is reached?
 
i think the n1 is still quite smooth i havent driven it in a while but i have the amuse carbon gtr and the boost kicks hard in that and wheelspins in most gears -i have medium racing tyres on the n1 but when i had street tyres it spun them easy =yes that is with a stage 4 turbo and everything else ,the amuse has a similar number but in gt4 800ish ps is pleanty of fun still
 
Couple of questions -

With upgrades, such as an exhaust system for example.. Does the actual look of the exhaust itself change when looking at the car? like is there a different muffler sticking out underneath the car? Or is it the same as the GT3 where the car looked completely the same, no matter wat upgrade.

And bodykits? In the early days of GT4, im certain i read in more than once place that there will be body modifying options??? Is there any sign of this? Besides the GT Wing, is there anything else?!

And is tuning your car the exact same routine as GT3? where u just go to tune and select wateva u need, or is there new options, more than 1 place to tune etc?

hey-im not sure about the change in the look of the exhaust ive never looked to tell you the truth something i will do-no no body kits just the gt wings but theres more tuner cars with kits ,would have been nice to change bumpers etc but with authentic aftermarket items not like the shoeboxes on nfs
tuning is similar but with a few more options like putting a cage in your car and there is a body refresh plan??in tuning as well not sure what that is,-superchargers and nos is there too for drag bunnys
you can use tuner parts on some cars eg i put a blitz exhaust/filter on the n1 mentioned above or you could buy from nismo the blitz system had a titanium ring to it though quite raspy -not sure if diff parts /manufactures give you more power
 
Damn, when i see that tank car.
Its really dissapointing 👎 that there are no F1 cars from the sixties. The Lotus, Brabham or even a Honda.

Its really dissapointing that there are no F1 cars from the sixties.
 
A question about the wing shop in GT4..

Do the wings have any aerodynamical or just a mere aesthetical effect?

In the first Gran Turismo it was a thrill to tune up a Supra, NSX or R32/R33 GT-R. As a matter a fact, a tuned up NSX S-Zero was one of the fastest cars in the game (lap time -wise). It would be great if you could once again tune up a car, customize it with your own wing, rim and paint settings and the car could even prove competetive against many of the race cars involved.

A tuned up HSC would be something yummy :)

Does anyone know if the 'Tank Car' drives as badly as it should?
Check out the vid in the GT4 video section by Egghead. It plows in the vid but the massive engine makes up for it more than I thought.
