I dont think so... When trying to set up the wireless i just used the automatic settings. Where would I do this?If the router has WEP security, have you allowed the PS3's MAC address to access it?
Yeah, I thought that at first as it does act up occasionaly but that didn't work for this problem. One of the routers is a BT Homehub, im unsure of the other.Probably worth turning the router on and off. What router is it?
On the PS3 XMB, go into Settings --> System Settings --> System Information and write down the MAC address. Go to a computer that can access the router and find the allowed MAC address list. On my Linksys it's under Wireless --> Wireless Network Access. Add the PS3's MAC to the list and save. Go back to the PS3 and see if it works.I dont think so... Swap the HDD into a mates' PS3 if possible, then do a backup to an external from there
It would ask you to reformat when you booted up the PS3.Swap the HDD into a mates' PS3 if possible, then do a backup to an external from there
It could be a weak signal. Make sure the router is on channel 1 or channel 11. The channels in between are rather useless.I dont think so... When trying to set up the wireless i just used the automatic settings. Where would I do this?
Eh? I thought save games work just fine for trophies so long as you transfer them to an account on another PS3 linked to your PSN ID. I have never gotten the "your save game will not let you earn trophies" warning this way. The only time it did come up was transferring saves to a different PSN ID-linked account, which is understandable.
Am I correct in thinking I will have to hardwire the PS3 to the internet in order to use AdHoc party?
