Too bad, I have also learn that the HDMI on those 3D monitors does not support over 60hz. One guy in the review said the Bluray wont in 3D mode.
I just have to wait till real 3D HDTV drops in prices.

Only one for the PS3 I got was the Nyko Zero, and it sucks, not too comfy, the sticks are not good, and buttons are not pressure sensitive. The whole layout seems good on paper but for FPS games and some action games it is much lesser over the Dual Shock 3.

DS2 DS3 are same controllers.. why would I wanna downgrade without having the SIXAXIS?

Anyone knows if that Nykon RAVEN is a good one? Looks promising, but so did ZERO and it was total waste of money.

I had a few PS2 controllers that were better than the Sony ones, but I haven't tried any third party PS3 controllers. I suggest giving the Logitech website a look over. They generally have there stuff together in regards to gamepads, and I'm sure they have a PS3 controller developed.

Best 3rd party controller is Logitech.
You can pick one up from Amazon

They have a few drawbacks....

No sixaxis abilities, (no big deal) and you can't turn your console on with the PS button, but over-all they are rated pretty highly.

Because I have absolutely NO knowledge of computers, whatsoever... could someone please tell me whether a HDD like this would work flawlessly for a PS3?
I'd like to pimp my playstation.

That's the drive I have just upgraded to in my new slim. Works fine.

Sprite is right. You can use that hard drive with the PS3. Though I have found a cheaper listing under the same seller here. You will save a few bucks even if you add up the shipping.

Need to vent my frustration so i'll do it here!

My Playstation 3 40GB GT5 Prologue Machine has now passed away this evening (YLOD)... It's nearly 3 Years Old and was bought from New on day of release I've looked after it perfectly no marks or scratches at all! This couldnt have happened at a worse time as GT5 is sooner approaching and with the F1 2010 Game out in a couple of weeks i'm really sore about it. When it becomes available and i'm hoping they'll ship it to the U.K. Is there any other Import Retailers that will be stocking this for Online Sale?

So i have ordered a second ps3, the slim 320gb (with free move) to save my fatty from getting too many hours on "on" and getting too hot.

I read that i can share my account on 2 ps3 (max 5 systems) ? Will that also apply for psn+? Can i redownload than all the previous downloads on the new ps3?

I will use now my slim as main system, so i need to get the data from the fatty to the slim. Can i just swap the HDD, or do i need to back it all up and than copy on the new system??

Please give some recommendation for using 2 systems...
Are there other things i should know about??

Yes you can share your account. I'm not sure about psn+ but you give Sony an email about that. I would just backup the data anyways so I could make use of the space on the new slim.

My PS3 freezes when I try to look at leaderboards - anyone experienced the same thing ?
Is there anything that we can do to make it work ?

I tried deleting the game, downloading and installing it again but it didn't work :/

Could Alien Breed be using some other than standard ports ?

Problem is that I was playing Rock Band for only about 30 minutes, and it's hardly a CPU-crunching game.

Pretty much toast! You could try and replace the thermal paste, and see if that would help! Or send it to Sony with 150 bucks and get a new slim back. If they are still doing that trade in.

Like i said really not sure if they do it anymore. Also if the PS3 has been taken apart don't think they will take it.

I see. I don't think my friend took his off apart. Mine did have the harddrive swap.

I just went to the site again(done it before), it says that out-of-warranty repair for my PS3 is $148(including shipping). Hmmmm....

I have a 40gig so I don't think the refurbished Slim is an option for me.

You can usually pick up used PS3s for less than that, Slims included. I was looking at Craigslist the other day and I saw several Slims in the $100-120 range, and a few non-BC Fats for $80-100.

My PS3 broke twice on me(once under warranty, one out of warranty), I have very little faith in their reliability. I had no idea they were that cheap used, but I still wouldn't touch them.
