But then I have to get up and walk to the TV to mess with any controls. I've used my PSP connected to my TV, so I know how I would set it up, but it is a setup that won't be happening anytime soon with a child. The difference being the PSP uses a long enough cable to hold it at a comfortable distance from the TV.A phone isn't that big, even with a closed entertainment centre there is room somewhere. If you say there isn't you are just being difficult.
After much use of various phones (including iPhones) and other portable devices I can say that the focusing on a tiny screen issue produces more eyestrain, for me at least, than a TV.And eye strain? The iPhone's screen (as well as other mobile devices) is fine. It's clear, it's bright, and I don't know to many people who have issues with it. I do about 70% of my daily work from my phone and I have awful eyes...it's never been an issue for me ever.
And I don't see an issue using it for Netflix at other peoples houses. I've done similar with my PSP. But for at home I don't see a need for it when you are going to get better quality with a device with HD capabilities connected to a TV.
