I am getting distressed with what car to choose and also my consistency around Watkins Glen.

I may end up with old faithful the Aston, but am clueless currently what car would be better for me. ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH

My consistency is ok when driving on my own but when we do a short race and oz goes slalom around me and then shoots of like a rocket infront then im hopelessly behind lol.

I think you would be faster in a z4. So stick with aston lol

The Z4 likes to spit me off the track if I am not being careful. The Z4 and I have a love hate relationship! They all have their own good points and bad points. I am also being wary not to base my decision on a single track, as I know I can hold my own with the Aston around most tracks (just not Watkins Glen lol).

I will do some more work, but the problem I have now is there is the Rugby World Cup starting this evening. Being from Wales, I am fairly into rugby, so the watching the games will seriously take away from my set up time.

Skaanky , for the secondo race at 14:00 which kind of clouds will we have , light medium or heavy cloudy ?
A man has to know which kind of cream factor number he has to put on his body all out of precaution .

I can't remember exactly what cloud type is specified in the game, I can confirm later, but it is the most cloudy before overcast for race one, then overcast for race 2, if that makes sense.

The settings we were using during the week were heavy cloud, for (I think) the early race, there is an 'overcast' setting so I'd assume we're using that for the 2nd race??
Quick question, as the update has not dropped for our friends across the pond yet, will the series be postponed for a week if it still hasn't dropped by race time tomorrow?

Edit: Just reread your post properly, so the settings are Heavy Cloud for race one & Overcast for race two.

Can anyone in America confirm if you have the update yet? It may be wise to delay the start for one week if it has still not arrived yet. If it has arrived and messed with settings, then a delay may also be the better option.

@Kkj10 I would like to be opening the room by 19:30 BST, in order to start a 5 minute warm up, to make sure everything is good for people in each room. Quali finishing at 19:59, race start at 20:00. 1st race should be finished by 20:35, we can go straight into 15 min quali, then run another race, finishing at about 21:30 being safe for some delays between rounds, 21:20 if everything runs smoothly.


I will need some people to host room 2. If anyone feels they will be in a position to get the room set up in good time, let me know. I could do with a few people, as this will allow for moves after each round. This is something I am playing by ear though.

Just done a race at Watkins Glenn (20laps) with 42 AI started from the back of the pack and ended 13 place .
In the beginning it was fun to pas all these cars but after a while it gets boring because you now the places where to pas .
If there is no mambo jambo between them they all do the same .
Any way it was a test to see how the car feels and also for the fuel consumption .
Hopefully we race to morrow otherwise we've got one week more to practice .

Edit : if the guy's don't have the patch tomorrow than it is no problem for me to wait one more week .
hmmmm gooood , one more week training at Watkins Glenn like spa ...not bad i would say .

No patch in the US, I have been checking all day. Even tried to make a UK account, but it won't work unless, I purchase another PS plus. Unless you get a free trial? I don't know, willing to try any suggestions.

I just put PS+ free trial in google and it came up with a 14 day one, try doing that on your UK account, make sure you read the small print in case it tries to auto subscribe after the trial ends.

You can't download a UK patch on a US game.

YES .......Im thinking delay for a week, if the race goes ahead I probaly wont be able to participate as its the missus birthday today. damn shame tho , but hey ho.

I think this would be for the best and is the only sensible option that I can see. It would mean we all have another week to figure s:censored:t out and think about cars. The series would then finish a week later.

Another track maybe? Will be alot of time to practice on Watkins all week and to do another 20 laps race on the same track as next weekend might be too much. Kinda takes away the excitement for the race next week.
