Acrobatic skanks

That was a really good turn out yesterday I was pleasantly surprised. 28 lap times recorded it's not easy to gather that many people after bin out for 5 months. Usually games due after 2months so thank everyone, thanks skanks this gone be a great serries. From what I saw yesterday the drivers are a lot closer matched.

haha, that was a classic collision Smokes lol.

There will be a couple more people to add to the list too, as Vicrs wasn't able to make qualifying and I will hold open the entries, in case the original sign ups that have not replied to the roll call confirm their place. We have two new additions to the series and a few others in the pipeline potentially. These will add to room two for race one, but a 28 driver line up (or there about's) is a good group of guys. We would only need 4-6 drivers to sign up late to complete the rooms. Additionally we have a handful of reserves who can make alternate race weekends due to other commitments.

I am not going to chase original sign ups. If any of you guys who have not replied to roll call still want in, post to this thread. I will base the grid on the current confirmed drivers who have qualified, plus those who have messaged me to state they could not make yesterdays quali and send out invites accordingly.

I will post room lineups tomorrow, along with weekend weather forecast and any other information.

What I (personal opinion naturally) would like to see is that we don't use car reset and don't use headset in quali and race .
And ..... we don't use are breaks in the first lap at the start of the race so we can divebump in to each other because are breaks are still to cold :)
CAR RESET :We want to go for realism so CAR SET is not one of them .
HEADSET : Annoying when quali or in race ,I know you can mute the driver if you go to the living room and click on his name so that not a big problem .
FIRST LAP :Breaks are cold be careful in the first lap .
Greets .

Car reset will not be used I recommend to unsigned on wheel/pad. Honestly I don't even why it's in the game nothing SIM about car reset. Not to mention randi rooms would benefit from that. In races Sven just make a private chat and you won't hear no one. As for first lap and cold brakes don't tell me how to race lol.

i had car reset mapped (for shame) as I used it in solo mode, I was too lazy to drive back on track. For online I'll leave it unassigned in the future.

Car track resets will be banned and not to be used in races or any time during this series. If people bin the car, they need to make their way back to the track as they would in real life.

I would advise un-assigning the button, as if someone uses a reset during a race, they will be disqualified.

If i use the button but nobody see it, did i realy use the button?:sly:

I've always assumed car resets are there for if you get stuck in a bug like fashion, ie glitch through a wall or whatever. It wastes so much time using it anyway, quicker to do a three point turn and carry on.

Will be an interesting qualy on Watkins.
Even yesterday on a long track like Spa with 10-13 cars in the room, even when some cars where still in the pits I hit traffic a few times on fast laps.

Watkins is shorter and more narrow, plus that all 16 cars basically will be out on track at the same time. :)

Either be first out, or last out and wait a bit :P

I've noticed that to,traffic will be play a hand. In the other gt3 series first race I only got 1 shot cus of it. The big map helps a lot I'm usually against having so much **** on my screen.

Me to I look at the big map to find the right moment to go out of the garage , but I think that I'm not the only one because yesterday several time at Spa I hit the drive button and at that same moment someone else is coming out of the garage .
So if everybody wants to go out at the same time and because of that go back to the garage , we al gonna have to wait a looooooong time:P

TRaffic will play its part, I'd expect everyone not on a lap to get out of the way pronto, just like in real life. If they are on a lap too, well, that is the way it goes, there will be plenty of time to get another in, as it is only a 1:41 lap and 15 mi quali.

I tried to run with as little as possible on the HUD to keep it as real as possible but after a few sessions in the other series I realized it's for the better to have an extra rear view mirror and the map on so that you can keep out of the way for the people approaching on their flying laps.

Also very good to have the map so that you know how big a gap you can create when your about to start a flying lap, so that you get your space to the car in front but at the same time don't get in the way for the car behind.

Ehy @Skaankypuppy how many laps and what is the target time for watkins? I think i should start turning a wheel there.

Watkins Glen laps will be 20 and a target time is 1:41.4-1:46 ish. If you can get into the 1:43's you will be pretty competitive.

I will also be updating the weather shortly, I just need a few minutes spare, it is looking like it is grey overcast for Race 1 and Cloudy overcast for race 2. I will confirm a little later with the weather.

I have updated the first page post showing room lineups (provisional) plus weather forecast for the race.

All information will be updated on the first 5 posts, so if you ever need to check, go to the 1st page and look there, as it will be easier to find the information than scrolling through to find a post.

I will be about later for practice, once I have got the kids to bed.

So all GT3 cars are available except for the Bentley. If you use the BMW M3 you are not allowed to use ABS.
Is this correct?
Can anyone that is better than me regarding cars and setups tell me if it's still worth using the M3 or should I select another car?

@Rexuz you are correct. No Bentley, you can use the M3, but it will not have ABS, just like in Qualifying. The M3 is a great car to drive and pretty fast, but I would be wary of the lack of ABS and the issues it would give locking wheels into corners, but it is worthy of selection, even without the ABS. It all depends on how well you think you will be able to get it to a stop on the tracks we will be running on.

Lol I didn't even realise ABS was off during the qualy.
