Had 2 great races with close fighting, especially the first one.

In the second race I chased @killerramsay for 20 laps, the gap being almost identical the whole race, before this bug made me spin 3 times and lose 2 places on the last lap.

Have anyone else had the same issue?

Yep! The exact same issue in the exact same place happened me in the second race behind Goruk. Its like a invisible wall it through me into the barrier.

I appreciate the apology oz. Unfortunately both contacts really ruined my race. I don't like how the collision physics cause both cars to just not be able to steer. I agree that hard penalties should be turned off, I thought I was pretty lucky I was able to get out of the way quickly when I got the 5 second "cut track" penalty.

Also not sure who I was side by side with in the pink and black BMW M3 up through the esses, I got a better run out of turn 1 and took the inside, lifted and gave room in turn 2 and then got hip checked and spun going up through turn 3 when I was on the outside, and that was the second time I was forced wide there in race 2. I understand hard racing, but I think there was some poor judgement moves in race 2.

On m3 was just me and @svenvangent i saw you spin out at the uphill section but i'm positive i din't touch you and even lifted off to avoid the car rolling and touch yours? if you can tell me the minutes i'll watch it again. No problem taking the fault if i do wrong; usually i'm a very clean driver (albeit slow as hell) you can ask around no problem.

I might have the chance to post my finding later on i'm skipping work today since my sickness is as bad as yesterday :(

Go on @Over Active you come back strong 👍

Thanks Zak. Made school boy errors in first race with jump start and time penalty's, But it was awesome coming through the field.

I have not come across such close and competitive racing since GT5. Its testimony to my fellow racers in the lobby yesterday clean and hard racing. I was still on a high going to bed last night. (No BlowenSmokes I was not smoking:lol:) But yea awesome stuff last night from all drivers. Remember guys for those who were disappointed with there outcome your race will come. You just need patience it was only race 1.

ROUND TWO
Hockenheimring GP.

Was cracking racing last night was a bit gutted was leading first race and got booted to start of game and had to listen to yous all having fun till first race was finished but could happen to anyone haha my race pace was much faster in first race compared to second one

I felt the pressure the hole race off you bud haha you had is first half of track and I had the pace second half of track nothing in it

Great racing last nite, in Room 2. my 1st race was over before the 1st lap could be completed  , had a bug where my car got crumpled in the rear as I crossed the start finish line from a benign bump :ouch: I got from someone earlier in that lap :( , which resulted me to retire and to spectate.

2nd race was much better :D got round and completed, pretty clean. result in 4th place , thanks i'll take that.

Hope some did record tho as I totally forgot, would be good to see the race up in here.

One lil qualm tho, :banghead: I did ask this particular someone to mute his headset on three separate occasions, and his response was. " Im racing"."I don't understand you" well if you didn't realize we were all racing, and most of us had our headsets on and muted.
Yh I get that, there's the option to mute in the menu, but there may be a time that, that person may need to say something of importance during race, and If we all muted him, well you know the rest.....

Round 2, oowwee

Haha, ye it was annoying to close the gap abit in the first half every lap especially thru the bus stop, only to see you increase it again during the last corners. Was hoping you would make a mistake at some point but nope. ;)

Yesterday's race was a nightmare being sick as i was, but still i got 2 decent finishes. I'm still very sick today and i actually think i'm worse now :P Whatever...

Race 1 video is up:

My race 1 summary

Had a so-so start and had to surrender a position first turn to David kill'em that was a bit long at first brake point, but luckily the cars didn't stick together... made a few positions to drivers that went wide t1 and got penalty. Then in the downhill section after the chicane i found a bunch of slow cars that collided with each other, i think there was @ErnstJ and antz that was back from the grass. I was took by surprise for i expected him to be slower, widened my line and touched grass spinning and lightly damaging car.

I had noticed that i was 15th and @svenvangent was way faster so i battled a bit with him and noticed that i would slow down my pace quite a bit doing so and left him through.

That lap i saw some drivers that had damage entering pits. My car was slower, with no doubts like 10 km/h or more than usual so i had to make a call, either pitting too, or try and go on like this.

Being on a slower pace and sick, to avoid losing concentration i chose to go on until the end in hope the other drivers wouldn't eat me up the 20 seconds pit stop advantage.

From there on i had a 100% defensive race trying to avoid any mistake and keep a margin from those behind me. I managed to collect an extra position when david spun out. He caught back me and we fought a bit before i think he started battling with antz or maybe killed his tires.

Last 2 laps were pretty dramatic for i had a really anomalous tire consumption that i never had in the simulation race i did along the week... May it be due to the aero/engine damage i had? No clue, but in race 2 i had no issues...

I managed to bring 11th home, an unexpected result, stopped recording and went to change my shirt that was drenched in fever-sweat and washing myself.

Wouldn't had expected to have an even better race 2!

(more when race 2 finishes to upload... thanks to italian adsl upload rate i think it'll take like 6-7 hours)

Who drove in the first race the car nr 99 in black its a BMW Z4 Starting from the 13 place I think ?

Edit : ok I know now .

I had a weird start. Everyone was already driving but my light wasnt on green yet:confused:. Because of that, someone hit the back of my car and my car was undrivable after that. Thats why i was on the grass after the chicane. Just couldnt find the grip in the chicane.

After pitstop i was in 14th or 15th place and just had a lonely race. 2 or 3 laps before the end i spun the car in the 2nd chicane and the car didnt move anymore. I quit the race.
After i was invited for the 2nd race, the game froze on loading screen and i was just done with the game at that moment and turned off the ps4.

I think it may have been me, I had to retire because my wheel disconnected fgs :( I had the #99 car but someone else may have had it as well this is room 2 and the first race?

Hi Man, Think that was me. What did I do?

Room 1 race 1 .

Nothing special Jeremy just wanted to know who has hitting me in the first corner and gave me 10 seconds penalty for free at the beginning of the race .
Just a little hint/advise , if you are on the 13 place don't think you can be in the first corner already on the first place .
Any way up to the next race see you on track Jeremy .
Greets .

Great racing last night guys. There were a few incidents and accidents, hopefully we can sort the details out fairly, but for the most part, great races were had.

People should now start to get to grips with the people they are racing against, their strengths and weaknesses, which will make for even better racing.

I have heard reports that someone was being dirty in room 2, I do not know who and have very few details, but if there were issues, let me know and we can deal with it.

THERE IS NO ROOM FOR PEOPLE BEING DIRTY! Mistakes happen in races, I understand that, but if someone moves to hit another car off intentionally, I/we are not having that. You can get in a randi room and do that, suffice to say, dirty drivers will be looking for another series.

Please bear with me regarding results/table etc, I am up to my eyeballs and have not had a chance to get the spreadsheet together yet, but will by tomorrow. I will also post the official weather for the next race tomorrow, but currently it's looking dry and clear!

Of course the in game replay of race 1 had to be bugged.
Ozwheels car was standing still the whole race so the epic fight between him, skaanky and me was lost unfortunately.
I did press the share button after the race so I managed to save the last 15 minutes, tho the battle between us were mostly finished by then.

But here's an edited video of the fight + when the winner takes the chequered flag.

Remember to change to HD.

Good racing boys! I have saved broadcast on my twitch, you probably can see the race from my perspective there, if you wanted.. @sr_birkster

that is fokking weird,..

i made space (aletdownofspace) for you to get past me on the 20th lap,.. and in your replay (race 1) you see i breaked early to let you pass.

then i think i hit a a invisible wall or something like that,... i thought there was lag and you hit me, but in your replay you clearly see, you did not even come close too hit me :boggled:

good racing though :dunce::dunce::dunce::gtpflag:

My race 2 summary

While i was quite happy for race 1 result (11th) for it would have allowed me to keep floating in Room 1, i was aiming at more or less the same result in Race 2. Eyes were burning so i thought i would safely and boringly run in the last positions.

I was very wrong; race 2 was really amazing and along the first half of the race, capitalizing on the errors of the other drivers i had a basically perfect driving climbing up to 7th place starting from 14th... Had some spectacular battles with @Mini Stiggy and @McKiernan until 11th lap where i made a mistake and i had to let through both of them and @ozwheels . On lap 12 i found @LVracerGT swering and crossing the track dangerously after an off-track i presume with another driver. Overtook both. Back to 8th with stiggy in front of me.

Then on lap 13 i had bad exit from T1 and LV tried to attack me at that uphill S, i left him space on the inside of the right turn and then even lifted a bit and donwshifted in the left to let him through... We didn't touch at all at least in my replay and i actually did all i could to let him through safely. Honestly he could have passed me the following straight for his car looked like it was 15km/h faster. You can check the crash in the video i posted from 21:35 21:56 to i've been watching a few time at normal and 0.25x speed and i can't detect any kind of contact... I think @Skaankypuppy will look into it. If there's the need i can no problem record other replays from other views.

Couple of lap later i was passed by Oz after a short battle, being back to 9th. On lap 15 stiggy lost control while battling with fresh tires Oz, that brought me back to 8th. Same lap Oz spun out and i went up to 7th again...

From there on it was battle with Mckiernan, i tried to resist as much as possible for i knew that he was going to have tires issues from race 1 end. Then in lap 18 turn one he bump passed me, i was furious, i'll be honest and watching it again it was quite a bad move. I lost 2 places to him and stiggy too and was very lucky not getting a penalty. see from 30:18 to 30:35, i my view he clearly overshoot his brakes in an all or nothing attempt.

In the last 2 laps i had no chance bu to stick to stiggy and McK and hope for a way to get through. End of lap 18 kiernan had no more rubber and was passed by stiggy in the finish line. I closed in and at t1 brake point looks like kiernan asked too much to his brakes again pushing out stigy and granting him a penalty (32:07 on). Last laps i tried in all way to get past kiernan that very very slow, but didn't want to force it and "bump-pass" so i no luck. He was so slow that stiggy caught us back and we had a flying finish where i kept my 8th place (altought the game bugged out and said 9th).

In the end 8th place.

Much better than i might have ever expected or wished for in both races... Before getting that sick i was aiming at 12th-13th place in both races so i can be more or less happy... Just feel a bit gutted i lost the 7th that was well within my grasp if only i had made a bit bolder move.

Man i feel like an idiot. First of all I like to say I need to read the series format more carefully. I honestly didn't realize there was 2 races. Secondly i lost my force feedback halfway through some where. it was right when i was going into the bus stop and panicked when i lost it and slammed on the breaks and went straight. There was someone on my ass and was scared i would mess them up so that's why i went straight. I finished the race with no ffb. basically had to learn to drive all over again. Had a few spins because of it. Its amazing just how much info your receiving through the ffb. Its hard with out it. I let a few people by because i was scared i would make a mistake and ruin there race. Lesson learned and have completely read the series notes now. Sorry about that. I will try to stay more active here in the forums and keep up to date. I'm just a workaholic and sometimes just skim through due to time restraints. Also after i lost my ffb my tires felt like they lost some grip but that could be the lose of sensation in the wheel. O well hopefully it will go better next race and will actually have a mic that works. You live and you learn.

No worries, I had a feeling that may have been the case. I did send a few invites in the hope you hadn't realised , but you must have been away from the PS4.

Next race.....Remeber!......There is a second one! It is only a mistake you should make once lol.

I'm not sure what my replay shows, I forgot to save it. Not sure if someone else's replay will show it or not. I never lost it there by myself and definitely felt contact. It could very well be the net code, not blaming you for being dirty.

I did see that you said you knew I was much faster on the straights, so not sure why you forced the issue up through the esses if you knew I would have you anyway. You weren't the only one who forced me off there though. I got squeezed off wide at the final uphill turn in race 1 and also squeezed into the wall lap 1 race 2 after the cluster at the start where I was forced wide and got a time penalty.

Have you watched the video i posted of race 2? I watched it over and over and even with the 0.25x speed of youtube...

I wasn't racing against you, but i couldn't afford to lose a couple of seconds to let you off in the most penalizing place of the track right? Also i had the right to battle for the position even if i choose not to... We were on same lap and you were behind me, or i'm wrong? If i did let you through by slowing myself there that much i could have lost a couple of positions at race end. In any case in my replay and while we were racing the was no contacts as you can see in the video (it's a live recording, NOT a replay), you can't hear any "thump" sound, and you can easily see how much space and how i did slowdown and downshifted to let you through safely.

No clue what i could have done more to help you :D maybe parking in pits  IMHO you just lost it. Happens even to the best drivers.

Oh and btw you and @Goruk really have to switch off mics during races. It annoys me a lot to hear sounds, breathing and noises while i go.
