Have you watched the video i posted of race 2? I watched it over and over and even with the 0.25x speed of youtube...

I wasn't racing against you, but i couldn't afford to lose a couple of seconds to let you off in the most penalizing place of the track right? Also i had the right to battle for the position even if i choose not to... We were on same lap and you were behind me, or i'm wrong? If i did let you through by slowing myself there that much i could have lost a couple of positions at race end. In any case in my replay and while we were racing the was no contacts as you can see in the video (it's a live recording, NOT a replay), you can't hear any "thump" sound, and you can easily see how much space and how i did slowdown and downshifted to let you through safely.

No clue what i could have done more to help you :D maybe parking in pits :confused: IMHO you just lost it. Happens even to the best drivers.

Oh and btw you and @Goruk really have to switch off mics during races. It annoys me a lot to hear sounds, breathing and noises while i go.

No I havent had time to yet. I'd like to see a replay from someone else though because I definitely had contact. Of all the hours I put in practicing before the race my car was never once unstable through that section, getting under steer if anything. Not over steer. Like I said it could have just been the net code but I didn't just lose it on my own, positive of that.

I wasn't expecting you to yield and you had every right to fight for that position, I'm not condemning you for it. But if you said you knew I was faster and would have you anyway you could have done a slight lift going into turn 2 and not risked going side by side. That's just my thoughts on it.

As for the mics, I have a turtle beach headset with a mute switch. My mic was muted the whole race except for after the potential contact between us which was the 3rd time that race I had been ran into and put off. I immediately realized I should have waited until after the race to say something.. My mic will remain muted during sessions from now on. Not sure why my mic symbol still flashes though. My only way around that is to not wear the headset which isn't an option for me.

Edit. Just went and watched it. You were a whole car width off apex going through the left hander. I don't agree with your statement of leaving me plenty of room. I'm at work but took pictures to back up my side if need be. The contact made me unstable and looks like my tire reaches the grass as I'm trying to save the car which ultimately sent me around.

Keep bearing with me regarding final room positions, standings and promotions relegations. I am in the process of knocking up a spreadsheet and compiling the results, but it is taking quite a while. They will be up tonight though, I'll make sure of that. I would like to get on track tonight too. I'll be practicing Hockenheim from about 21-21:30 tonight if anyone is on?

The spreadsheet will have overall drivers standings showing all 12 rounds, plus a sheet for each round, showing race positions and promotions relegations. I'm nearly there, but need to make sure I get the people in room two correct. :gtpflag:
 
Does anyone have qualifying for each race in room 2? It would help establish who was there at the start and got disconnected for whatever reason. Thanks.

In race 1:

My screen was frozen down the whole straight in lap in lap 2 or 3. When it unfroze I was in a wall with 3 wheels, and on my screen Oz's car was pinning me to the wall even though he was still driving around on his screen. Did I take anyone out?

In race 2 I had the restart the game 4 times during quali(No FF, Then no engine sound, then the FF calibration was wrong, then the brake pedal didn't do anything when I pressed it). When I finally got in the race, I got damage from someone spinning infront of me, spun trying to avoid an incident infront of me, and got pushed off on the 2nd to last lap, given a penalty, and lost 2 places.

Yeah i would that to be clarified by multiple replays, for as i said and my live record shows there was no contact, still it might very well be a netcode/lag error...

I stress out that my video was recorded live so no clue if it can make any difference to replays.

Concerning microphones LV not to pick on you but i could hear you in race 1 and race 2 too... if you watch my video you can hear your own noises so i guess the switch didn't click. not a big issues, just an head up for next weeks.

To avoid hearing you and goruk i plugged my mic in ds4 so that your mic sounds wouldn't get out of the tv speakers.

yeah i saw mckiernan sending you wide like he did with me on turn 1. You can recheck all in the vids i posted.

It's not net code it's invisible walls surrounding the cars. You don't have to make physical contact for the cars to get stick together or one car go flying off track. That's what happend on turn one with you and I and on the long sweeper after the chicane. I never touched you on my screen or if I did it wasn't enough to send your car off track. I was behind you and Karsten when your incident happened and it certainly didn't look like he hip checked you.

I saved the replays for both. I will take a look as soon as I can. I could do with doing a few laps, as I am still yet to get online tonight lol. Leave it with me.

Yes, due to not having a finish I had to assume they were at the start, but could not assign more points as I could not confirm when they exited and how many laps were completed. I will update the scores accordingly if we can get info, otherwise I thought the fairest thing to do would be award minimum points.

If people can get to the order of disconnections, we can sort points accordingly then.

Aye, my recording gimped out S1 of 7, I got a game crash shortly after. My video shows me on lap 7. Which put me in 10th overall iirc. Vid is on previous page.

You would have a lot of material for an all around review of both rooms/races :D If only time wasn't a finite commodity ;)

If this is the case that makes more sense. GT6 had this for a while too IIRC and they eventually patched it. It really sucks when you can't trust where the boundaries of your car are.

Karsten when I switch my mic off I get a little light that changes colors so I know it's muted. I'm sure it was working because when I join parties with my friends and forget to toggle the switch it always takes me a minute to realize they can't hear me.

No worries, I had a feeling that may have been the case. I did send a few invites in the hope you hadn't realised , but you must have been away from the PS4.

@azidahaka Sorry about the mic thing, I usualy mute my mic, butt if I go for a smoke and the headsets lose conection to the base when they connect again the mic is On and sometimes I don´t notice.
I wil try to be more careful nex time, but you can allways mute me on the lobby settings or shout very loud "Goruk turn your F*#$+ mic off" :lol:

Oh lol i do not have BT mic so it's connected to ds4 and while i'm on a wheel it's a killer thing to take it switch it on and shout all while driving :D
 
That is the exact one I will be getting, but want to get a RS1 seat at the same time, so need to get saving!

Loving the Sig Goruk. Hopefully next season we will be able to have 3 or 4 rooms, although, that may be a bit of a mission to run!
 
1:37's are good, 1:36's are achieveable, possibly less. Lowest I have got is 1:37.4, I think McGerty has done a 1:37.1.

I have done a 1:36.7 in the Aston, but I'm not driving it in this series, I chose the Audi, which I have very little time and experience in. :banghead: 🤬 :dunce:

Try a Rseat before you buy it, depending on your height you may or may not like the driving position.
I've try one and did't like it because the wheel stays to far from me, and the leader seat will make you sweat like a pig.
A friend of mine have one and everytime he races he have to put a towel between him and the seat.
But it looks good though...
