@ Dr_Watson: I have an RX-8 LM if you need me to test things for you, since you seem to be having trouble acquiring one.

Yeah, Need to break in my car, only have 100 miles on it, did a few races at Daytona Road, it is a very fun track.

@ Dr_Watson: 1:44's? Very good time 👍 I'm running 1:45.2 with insane push, I think I could run 1:46.9 /1:47's to keep my tyres out as long as possible, but yeah great time.
Also, how many people are going to be in the room? maximum, 12? Because of bug, if we have 12 in each room for prototype/gt rooms...
If you want some help with lines I could help you out..
I'm running 1'43's and doing around 1'44.000 (that number gradually goes up of course) saving tyres...

I'll PM you my set-up but I'm still trying to make the front and rear outside and inside tyres wear evenly..

Yeah, I'm capping rooms @ 12

Thanks I may take you up on that after the 86 races tonight (when I'll be finalizing the prototypes). CSL has one and he helped out with the early GT testing so he was going to put it on pace. But it looks like he might not be able to get to it til friday.
Have a bunch of performance analysis to do for work today so I'm working from home. So hopefully after cycling the UCD periodically during the day today I'll have one. It's been kind so far as I've picked up all the prototypes except for the 2010 pugeot. (both of the crazy expensive chaparrel cars landed in there once each too).

Check the new car dealer. ;)

I can still get specs tomorrow for the RX-8 if needed, but unfortunately I can't make the race, for the prior engagement to the WRS-ORCA event.

A real bummer I can't do both, but I signed up for that first and all, not really cool to cancel at the last minute. (either way)
Good luck guys.

Holy cats... that car's premium :embarrassed:
I could have sworn the R10 and 787B were the only premium LMPs.
I'll have to take a look. Sorry to lose you man, GL repping WRS.

Oh and Turbo.. .the RX8 you ordered has arrived good sir.

you can use this as a base... the stock tune is garbage.
Car is way more tail happy than I was expecting so it took the most tuning to get it stable.

Ballast: -5
LSD: 15,10,5

ride: -2, 0
Spring: 15,13.5
extension: 7,6
compress: 6,5
arb: 3,4

camber: 2.2, 1.0
toe: +0.04, +0.04

brake: 3,4 (it likes rear bias... must be a mazda thing)

gears I just set the top-speed to 199... what i did for basically every car. ;)

Hmm, could only set a 1:45.3xx as the car is super tail happy. The power band is like a peak, which doesn't help at all. And the rear tires are half worn after about ~6 laps. :(

Edit: 1:45.189 is my best, and I can can average 1:45.5~1:46.5 for about 8 laps, then it starts going down hill quick. This car takes super concentration to keep it going straight.

Oh, and why do some people insist on coming into your room even thought the title says "Testing PRIVATE"?!? Then join the track in a Formula GT no less? Boot....

Those times were set online? I was getting 46s and 47s during my practice session, nice to know all the cars seem close. The practice session that's happening tomorrow night(well tonight technically)will it be run in free run mode or will there be a few "practice races"?

Yeah, I was quite surprised. The rear grip is on egg shells coming out of the tight infield corners. Got it down to 44.5 personally with repeatable 44 pace. But I won't kid it's definitely the hardest car on the concentration. Only thing that comes close in concentration level is the R8 LMS.

I ended up swapping to a different tune that I feel more comfortable with. I'm never fast in practice anyway, so I'm just going to concentrate on keeping the car facing forward during the race and hopefully pull out a nice finish.

Now all we need in DP specs ;).

I got up an hour early for work and did some lapping in the 908 and R10. So they're up now. DP is running RM tires and we were trying to get them all at 700hp/1000kg spec but the French cruise missile is just too agile so the R10 needs some extra grunt to make up the 1/2 second it loses on the infield. (They were both reliably in the low 1:33 land and they can definitely go faster with a good setup)

I'll have to mess about with the other cars during the practice session tonight.

I'm also going to toss out a proposition. We could just bin DP and run a GT only event. The used car dealer hijacked all my free time so I didn't get the specs up soon enough to garner interest and so now I'm not sure we can fill the grid.

With Nepali in it's 5 so we only need one more, I wouldn't like it if you would skip the DP's especially with the work you put in. You might even lose participants who signed up for it...
Certainly not my decision though.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the idea myself. I'd really like to run both classes, just worried about attendance. I'll certainly run in DP if we need another car on the grid. I'd been planning on running wherever I was needed anyway.

As a future tip I was thinking that now I have all the cars I could see this happening again throughout the FIA endurance season when they race in France, Belgium, and Germany.

I'm really sorry guys but something came up and I can't race, I really wanted to guys, I'm sorry Dr_Watson, I can't wait to see results though, should be good racing, I will try my best so I guess you can put me as reserve, but I'm not sure...

RT: I did a second session with the Mazda and I'm much happier with it now at a weight much closer to the BMW.

I highly recommend putting the ballast at +20 it does magical things to the rear traction.

TnJF it seems pretty obvious given the Audi cant get up to 740Bhp stock its the high Rpm turbo on it yes?

yeah, trying it with turbo2 now though... see if its better with more tq less limiter

k... Found a much better spec for it. The only way to make it not suck in the infield was to make it lighter.
DP specs are g2g now.

The courage chassis cars are just awful on the banking so they had to go.
Something about them they jitter the screen sickeningly on the banking and it really can't be tuned out, so they're binned.
2 audis and 2 pugs should be good though.

How are you guys doing on tires? When I was in Watson's practice session tonight, my Z06 would go through a set of tires in about 8 laps(racing hards) granted I was pushing the car beyond the limit and the tires were smoking almost every lap, and obviously I won't go all out every lap tomorrow, but I was just curious about you all.
