Been thinking it over... Wardez brought it up in the practice room and I think it would also be fun to mix the classes.

The way I propose this is that I trust the DP drivers enough to not be worried about overtaking. So if you guys are cool with running one combined room I'm in. I just need to say that there is no blue flag. It will be the responsibility of the DP car to go around safely. The DP cars are about 10-12s a lap faster than GT and especially with the banking it's very easy for the prototypes to make safe passes.
I would just say GT should stay on line and predictable, watching mirrors and trying to worry about letting the faster cars by is more likely to cause confusion. Just be aware of the faster traffic.

thoughts?

I thought that's how we were running it? Guess I read that wrong.. Anyway I think it would be cool to run both classes together as long the LMP drivers don't force GT drivers off their line or become aggressive to get around GT traffic and as long as GT drivers keep right to let the LMPs have right of way, I don't see a problem.

Im fine with that TnJF itll be like Wardezes video in WSGTC ;). I worked that the DPs will lap the GTs every 15laps or so so we would need to wait about 5 laps before being allowed to go are we going to do that? I know some drivers may not like waiting for over 7-8mins but im fine with it lol.

Just so you know, going to be running the Peugeot Total 908, my Oreca Matmut is loaded with engine upgrades. I may also have to leave straight after the race if that is ok, seeing some friends for the first time in ages, so I won't be able to stick around for some post-race banter :sly:

Also, don't know if you already discussed this, but Watson, are you going to drive the DP class? If you do we'll have 6 cars in both classes, which make for a great mixed class race :)

Yay Biffy we are teammates :D.

I like the sound of that :D

That also gives me an idea. Not sure if this could work for the GT class, but if we have 3 Audi's and 3 Peugeot's, why don't we have a mini team-championship? Would definitely step up the level of competition :)

I have a few questions..

1. When do the pits open? Or are they always open?
2. How many pit stops are we allowed to make? Or can we make as many as we deem necessary?
3. What is the max speed on the exit to the pits on that little road?

Havent done a single lap yet... :( But, no matter what, Peugeot is going DOWN!! Lets go Audi!! :D

Yeah, was originally going to run one room for each car class... but we ended up with a pretty perfect amount of people for a mixed race.

Running it like the real deal, everyone starts and stops at the same time. GT winner is just going to be a few laps down.

While doing the specs I was reminded about the R8R being my favorite race car ever.
So I'm going to combine the Audi and Peugeot by running the French R8. ;)

1. Lap 2 (as in one lap after the rolling start green flag)
2. Pit strategy is up to you, tires are unlimited
3. As fast as you can go without breaking your car on the armco.
Basically I'm taking it as the pit-lane speed limiter is turned off when the AI gives you the car.

Tires are unlimited? Meaning I can put Softs ON? Hmm, one question. The ballast on the Audi, whats the best position to put it on?

Unlimited like you can change them as many times as you like, I think..

haha.. no you can just use as many sets of mediums as you want. ;)
and GT is still on hards.

With all the prototypes I was just leaving it at 0, they're pretty balanced as they are being 49/51. If anything the R10 understeers more than the other cars so if you wanted to move it I'd say a small degree to the rear would probably help.

Ah ok thanks for clearing that up! And thanks for the tip!

So after the GTs complete their laps, what do they do? Pit and wait for the DPs to finish? Or should we finish around the same time?

We're going to run the DP lap count of 75.
When the over-all winner crosses I'm going to set the race-finish delay to 100 seconds so GT will get that last lap and it will be all over but the gloating.

Wish I had two TV's in my room. Bunch of touring car races on this morning that I want to watch too. :(

Sorry guys, I got disconnected.. I got lag in the first corner though for some reason and my car lost grip.. Oh well. Kinda bummed out about it, and honestly I didn't think I'd qualify in last, but these things happen and when the lag caused me to spin the pack got away and that was it.. Best of luck to the rest of you. I'll be back for R1600's GT4 Enduro so I'll be looking for a win there, you can count on it :P

I had lag everywhere during the race... Then BOOM disconnected! :( Thanks a lot stupid connection! It was fun the first 2 laps, then lag and I hit a wall and race was over for me.

Shame, I was really looking forward to this.

That's sort of what happened to me, I was coming into turn 1 nice and smooth and then I got a huge jerk to the right..

I wasnt driving well anyways, tire wear was huge!! I had no tires after just 2 laps. I needed more time to set up the car. But it was still fun. 👍

I think either MULE got stuck on pit road, or he parked it. I just got lapped so I parked it. I think this would have been more fun with a room for each class and more participants.
