Thanks. Figured it out on my own. :dopey:

Just a notice to all qualifiers. Please be aware that because of the setup for this week, we can only have one go at a time and the host will be forced to reset the track after every attempt. If you can get your runs in earlier rather than at the last minute, us stewards will really appreciate it. 👍

Also, for all D1 participants, please come into the room as early as you can, so we get the start off on time. Given all the variability in this race, I foresee that we will easily go over an hour.

Based on what I have been reading, we can use only SS tires and racing rain tires in the race. Right :nervous:

This is my understanding:

For qualifying: Either rain tires
For race: Must start on Sports Soft. Can pit for either Rain tires at your convenience.

Please note that the pit rule still applies. (one stop required on Lap 6-19)

Darn, 2 tires was bad enough, now 3 options.
I'm now hoping it rains cats and dogs making it only 1 option.

Rain intermediate....

We've never mentioned those before because SS are inters. Based on all the discussions of this week there should be only 2 tires. SS and RR; we start the race on sports and if it gets too wet you can pit for rains. Inters should be just as off-limits as the race hards that we have to open up in the specs to get access to rains.

That was my understanding (and hopes) but...

Yeah, those "either" statements didn't make any sense the first time I read them because of:

Edit: Everyone is free to start qualifying on Rain tires, 100% surface water, 0% weather and 0 change.

Good idea. Set it to Sport Soft, then once everyone is on track and headed for the grid, the host can change the tire regulations to unlimited so everyone can switch to Rain tires if needed.

lol, maybe not, but in GT5, that's how it's listed. All we need to do is refer to the rain tyres as 'Racing Wets' and we're all on the same page ;)

Not sure if Jason intended to approve Intermediates for the race. I'm sure he'll clarify that before the D1 race tomorrow.

In the meantime, with the qualifying conditions, it's better using Racing Rain tires anyways.

Lol, you guys continue to refer to the full wets as Racing Rain tyres, whereas in GT5 there are the 2 options under the umbrella of Racing Rain tyres, the intermediates and wets. I know we're talking about Sport Soft and Racing Wet tyres only, I'm just hoping everyone else fully understands too ;)

Well I'm trying to keep up with this the best I can with limited time and resources, excuse me.

In any case we can cancel it if that works better for everyone.

Don't see why we need to. Besides, any more delays in the schedule and I may not be able race in the championship round. :nervous:

I don't see a need. I think some will complain (me ) but I would rather run a race than not.

I just wish we had the rain procedures set in stone before the race week. Now we look good to go.

I knew it was going to rain Sunday night after the D2 race and put the plan into effect immediately after.

The forecast changes through the week. Now calling for 100% chance of rain.
