I take what I can get. On this track I'll be very pleased if I can stay within 8 secs of fast guys, but I have a feeling I'll be disappointed.
Unrelated... am I the only one that thinks the 2 thread thing is a bit confusing and redundant?

No different from the multiple threads created for WSGTC.
Not really confusing, if you need to post something about an upcoming race (practice, qualifying, whatever) post it in the Race thread.
If you need to post something regarding rules, car setups or for people that need to register, post in the Technical thread.
Easy. 👍
Does that mean you're going to make a new thread for each race?
(that makes more sense to me than one big thread for the series and one big thread for the races in that series; rather than just one big thread for the series)
No actually, and I never understood why people do that.
Enjoyed the race last night. Had a great battle Gray Fox for the entire race. What great fun. Closing on the finish I noticed I had a lil more speed in a few spots. Now to get out front and use these spots to stretch a gap beyond the draft and ensure Gray Fox doesn't steal my position. I was lucky enough to make this work an the last two or three laps I spent maintaining that distance.
Thank you for the clean racing man. Cant wait till next week!!!
At the moment I think it's working just fine.
Going to be interesting to see what the new car does against what we were running in the wild card race last season with the default car. I know me and CSL were in the teens, but can't remember exactly (2:17??). If I could read google docs through the company firewall I'd dig up the S3 thread and have a look. :/
yeah, but what is it supposed to be accomplishing?

I'll have to wait for Wardez to answer that though since I'm in your camp. I'd prefer 1 thread.
Making things easier to find.
It simply separates race discussions from general discussions making it easier for every one to find specific posts.
You'll notice the value after a couple rounds.
And it's not set up like WSGTC because there's no reason to. All RT would have to do is put a link pointing to the pre-race info. post in the OP of the Race info. thread and one will put themselves right in the middle of all of the discussion for that race.

So what if we want to discuss practice and subsequently what setup you used? Seems a bit pointless that 2 so similar things are seperated.
Also, which thread should we post practice/quali room numbers in?
I'll have to agree with the good doctor here. Without adequately defined and strictly enforced guidelines about where specific items are to be posted, the user is forced to look at two different threads since conversations can easily drift into topics not intended by the thread's creator. This would mean creating multiple threads for varied topics in order to maintain order. However, whether GTP will tolerate this is uncertain. Therefore, keeping all information centralized in one location while updating the OP for relevant, critical data may be the best option.Btw, sorry if I'm often pedantic about these matters, being an obsessive perfectionist is quite useful for getting 4s in college and my professional career... but it comes with the side effect of abrasively questioning anything that seems inefficient or illogical.
It's either policing the threads, ensuring people are posting in the correct spots, or have a free-for-all like prior seasons.Should we appease everyone by jamming everything into one thread again?
