Not exactly. Last I heard he was still busy with school stuff, then when that's over he's starting up GT4 Cup Season 3. Also looking forward to killing everyone again for FMSC4. ;)

What about integrating that team idea I had Jason?

The teams of four concept spread out across two divisions.

Good to hear. Much better news than the last I heard.

If the tire model stays the same, I'm going to do much worse this season. I'll just leave it at that.

It seems like a bit much to have 4 members on a team with such a small field. For the moment, I'd like to stick with a max of 2.

As for your idea of using the lead car as a pace car, we may go that route. 👍

Aderrrm told me himself in a Psn message after I asked him about iRacing and if he was going to leave Gt5 completely. He said (From memory) "No, I will allways play Gt5 and im still doing FMSC" :D.

@RT
I think you said we would be using Racing hards and I would like to jump the gun before someone suggests it - Can we please not try the RM and RH tire strategy from the RX-7 TC series.
I really hate it with a passion now, I like cars on RH tires, but the RM tires leave me stumped. I'm really dependent (I'm sure others are ), on my knowledge of the tire's grip falloff to be any good. The RMs falloff is like a CS tire with a RH and RS "grip" mixed together.

Hmm, but the main idea was, if we have 2 grids of 12, it makes 24. That means 6 teams. Only top 2 driver results within the team each weekend actually apply to the team points (to allow room for no-shows, absences and such). It would be a really great system.

Racing Hards on this car are a bit much as it is. I think with the suspension tuning now and the fact that people can adjust downforce, the Sport Softs might feel better. Although I haven't tested it.

I don't know, will take some thought.

We used SS tires last year, I think.
I'm using SS tires in another series so I have final got them figured out.
Just tell me now if any "M" tires are on the board
I will start practicing now so I can stay on the lead lap. I never want to finish a lap down again.

I think even with the added HP through the Supercharger, RH might be a bit too much with tuning allowed. If tuning was prohibited then RH would be perfect as we would be running less aero and the car wouldn't be tuned specifically for each track, but like this I'm not sure if RH are the right choice. Will test it sometime tomorrow. Haven't driven thaat Miata since the Finale.

I would think SS would suit it just fine, with the full tuning and all.
But RH wears quicker, so running them might make pits involve a little more thought then "go in first". :P

Need opinions:

I'm starting to lay out plans for the new thread(s) and need to know if, in your opinion, people might be put off or intimidated by a large OP. At the moment I'm planning on having 4 posts in a row at the start of the thread, each with 2 to 4 different sections. These threads will be graphic intense and may end up being rather large.

Problem is I don't want to put forth the effort to make them the way I want, then have it scare people away.

Thoughts?

Not sure if it will scare off people I personaly like big long OPs as it shows its well organised :).

Btw when is this test as I have college tomorrow but would love to come along. If its after 12am GMT I cant sadly :(.

It'll be too late for you. It's after the 86 races, so probably not until around 11pm EST which is GMT +5 if I'm not mistaken.

Anyone up for some tire testing after the 86 races tonight?
I'll be on tonight. 👍

If you're worried about large graphics, put something basic on the OP and do something fancy on Word, PDF it, and put it up on GDocs.

Well my #77 Mx5 TC will be there in sprit then .

Yeah, what outlaw said should work great. Put a lot of effort into just making what needs to be put in the OP be clear like times, scheduling. Rules and everything else that's needed to be read after commitment should be in a .pdf.

I'm doing the same thing with the series after JGTS.

Not large graphics, large amounts of graphics. :dopey:

One of the things that initially drew me into this series is the depth and detail put into the first post, it's nice and organized and all the information is right there so you don't have to go digging through the thread for answers. I love the graphics, I just need to remind myself to disconnect from my network to make sure I don't miss anything since photobucket is blocked :grumpy:

Hey now... you have a web host for the fancy stuff. ;)

Yeah I fully intend on putting all the rules in a PDF document attached to the first post. Things like the Intro, car info, signups, driver list, points, schedule, tune database, standings and results will all be posted here.
