It really depends on the layout.
Graphics and images are great, what scares people away is when they can't find anything without searching heavily.
On the other hand, it sorts out who can read and who's too lazy to try, and just asks OP answered questions constantly.

I would say goal #1 should be to make everything easy to find, aside from that, image and graphic to your heart's desire.👍

I might joing for some testing tonight, idk, have to get up at like 6am, so I might hit the bed early, dunno yet.

the problem with graphic heavy OPs is that more and more people are using their cell-phones and that doesn't always work well.

Need opinions:

I'm starting to lay out plans for the new thread(s) and need to know if, in your opinion, people might be put off or intimidated by a large OP. At the moment I'm planning on having 4 posts in a row at the start of the thread, each with 2 to 4 different sections. These threads will be graphic intense and may end up being rather large.

Problem is I don't want to put forth the effort to make them the way I want, then have it scare people away.

Thoughts?

Put the important information on the very top, saves people from "reading"

Date of next event: 00/00/00 Hour Car: ______ : SIGN UP : LINK
- Drivers list - Points - Rules -

Thats actually a good idea. At the very top I'll put a "table of contents" with a link to each section. 👍

Ran a few laps with Sports Soft and full aero and it feels great. It still has the understeer that it had before with a little oversteer added. It's a grown up Miata. :D I say keep it the same, but if you are changing it no worries, this car is great with anything.

Going over the schedule, if we waited for the RX-7's the finish, then had a week off, we wouldn't be starting until around March 11th. :(

I need to figure something out to get us moving sooner...

See if Dennis and Wardez are okay with FMSC taking over the JGTS timeslot. It's all part of the PURE family so depending on their plans for their next series it might be okay.

PM'd them, asked when they are starting JGTS Season 2. I'd like to fill the 1pm EST time slot for D1.

Edit: To add something to this, we had a tire test last night for an hour or so and came to the conclusion that we may stick with Sport Soft tires.

I would like to get more people together for another test soon so we can make a final decision.

If anyone has any tunes they have been working on and are happy with sharing, let me know. I'm getting the new thread put together and would like to have some tunes available at launch. 👍

I am going to do some testing tonight to acclimate myself with the nuances of my little skittle. If I can find a good base tune I will shoot it your way.

I have the ones used for the testing at Nurb F and Indy Road Course. Not sure if they're any good but it's at least a launching point. I'll put those up sometime tonight. 👍

They'll be going on these:

Which may seem kind of small, but I needed to make them that way to fit two of them side by side without being auto-resized.

Cool 👍

Were you interested in using my web scripts to generate dynamic graphics? (driver cards etc...)

oh, and how about some shameless PURE cross promotion for anyone that needs something fun to do on Saturday. (I finally got the RX8)

Ok. This is a 2:10.500 setup for Nurb F.

Aero: 20/48

Transmission: Go to 162, Final 4.330

LSD: 7/10/9

Height: 24/22
Springs: 14.0/12.5
Dampers (E): 7/7
Dampers (C): 5/6
Roll Bars: 3/3
Camber: 2.0/1.0
Toe: -0.10/0.00

Brakes: 3/5

It probably needs work but it's a start.

Got it, thanks.

Attention everyone: The new thread(s) should be up by Sunday night!

For the Hydra series, the Division 1 time slot will be at the same time, but a day earlier. Division 1 will be on Saturday at 1pm EST, and Division 2 will stay at 10pm EST Sunday night.

Unfortunately I had to split up the Divisions because all other time slots on Sunday are taken.

Good to hear. Did you have time to think about my 4 man, 2 score, team structure?

The tune I posted for Nurb F worked okay for Indy Road Course but I still can't run below a 1:40.000. Just need to bump up the transmission to around the 175-180 mph range.

What do you mean by other time slots on Sunday? Other series?

Yeah PURE JGTS runs about as early as I would like, and then the RX-7's are almost immediately after. If we waited until after the RX-7's, the time would be too late for any Euro drivers to attend. So D1 will have to be on Saturdays unfortunately.

I am very interested about this because the Roadster TC is a great car. I'll look at the new thread tomorrow and make my mind up. 👍
