Thanks for the heads up, Will. So helpful 👍 So if I understand this correctly, with the current check system I explained, there is "only" that 0.1% of possible mistake, right? If that is the case, I might as well set the regulations to 80.1% and eliminate this problem
I'm positive that with the triple checking system, nobody would be tempted to cheat. Especially on a spot race, where the main thing is basically the fun you have on the individual race, it's pointless, right?
I decided not to run maximum downforce some time ago because that's kind of typical, and I wanted to add a certain "game", which is trying to find the best balance between front and rear aerodynamics. This may be a spot race with spec cars (all the cars are the same after all) but I do want that "High tech" feeling F1 gets, with the whole setting stuff.
IMMORTAL, I've been driving the car with the 863PP and the right power and weight, and I can tell you that you do get used to it. I'm not that experienced with these cars, since I've never used them competitively, but if I can run a few laps without making huge mistakes, I'm sure you can as well!
And also, I like the idea of having to back off a little during races. Maybe Driver A decides to play it safe, and Driver B takes risks. Driver B is able to go faster because of the risks he takes, and he's ahead, but he may make a mistake, and the driver who plays it safe is able to catch him... This way, we are "forced" to think while driving, and not charge forward like a madman.
(And exactly, Paul's right. That's why I went through the "trouble" of setting the triple-way system. It's a bit tedious but will work pefectly!)
