Wrong, if i can do it, you can too ;)
I've been driving with a wheel for a year, I'm not going to be able to get enough practise with a DS3 to be competitive on race day.
Ouch, so sorry to hear that, MSTER đź‘Ž hope you can get a wheel soon, in any case.

That means 7 confirmed drivers, with two not being able to be on Qualifying day. It's going to be a lonely friday, me thinks.

That's the spirit, Joshua!
Looks like I'm not going to get a wheel for about 2 weeks - 1 month unfortunately :( .

Two weeks is not too bad. One month sounds a lot worse, to be honest! But even if it's one month, you'll be alright for our... ahem, next race.

you forgotten the
tag on the banner ;)

What? No, check it again. I think you're wrong. I didn't forget it. :sly:

Alright, actually I didn't even know that tag existed, it's used now

If I'm understanding correctly, every one's qualifying at the same time tomorrow/the 10th of August, with a real life knock-out F1 style session.

Then the race is on the 17th.

btw, and only if I'm right with my previous assumption, you've got it backwards on the OP Alex. You're saying the race is on the 10th and qualifying's on the 17th.

Ok m8 GV can you open 2 hours before q start the lobby.
I must work a bit on my setup.

2 hours before I won't be there, I'm afraid! 1 hour before is "Connect time", so you will have that much time to practice.

Qualifying is today, as Eddie explained (Everything's corrected!)

I really need to practice and set my car, i'll open a room just after work (around 16.00 UTC)

Every driver is called to track, with power limit is set to 755hp. The power limit is then set to 750hp. Every car that is legal will be then thrown out of the track. The same is done with weight; setting it at 600kg with everyone on the track, and then moving it to 610kg, then to 620kg, and so on until reaching 700kg (this is to avoid people adding weight to be able to add downforce). Assuming every car is legal so far (nobody is using more/less power than regulations say, or more/less weight), the drivers will be called back to track, with PP limit set to 863. At this point, the car verification is over.

You can't set 755 and 750. The lobby settings allow only to set 10 by 10.
729 - 739 - 749 - 759 - 769 - etc

Room open: 1472 6118 3615 5264 5307

Thanks đź‘Ť . It's as easy as going 10 by 10 then! :)

You said 80% was 748hp, right?

EDIT: I was able to qualify for GATE already, so... joining ;)

I'd like to remind everyone that qualifying is going to take place in 2h10m.

Feel free to join for today, even if it's at last moment! You're all invited! :)

Oh. Shame! No problem mate đź‘Ť

I wonder how many of us will actually be here today... hm!

Well, just a heads up to everyone:
Your car MUST be at 80.0% power limiter, no less, no more.
Your car MUST be at 600 kg, no less, no more.
Then, you're free to set your downforce as you want as long as you keep 863pp, no more.

14 minutes for Green Flag! Any last minute Qualifying entries should consider doing so by now ;)

VERY IMPORTANT.

Well, qualifying was a bit messy as for the procedures! But we made it through. I expect people to read rules thoroughly if they are to join next week's race, which is of course still open for people to join us!

I want to confirm that, during qualifying sessions, it is perfectly legal to get fresh tyres, although changing the compound is NOT legal (from RH to RM or RM to RH).

The results for today's qualifying session are as follows:

Qualifying Results

1- IMMORTALPILOT: 1.26.105 (Medium Tyres)
2- GV27-: 1:27.307 (Hard Tyres)
3- joshua1994: 1:27.603 (Hard Tyres)
4- GTP_Litchi: 1:28.482 (Medium Tyres)

I would like to hear from those who did not attend today's qualifying but intend to race next week as soon as possible. Thank you in advance, and thanks again to the drivers that showed up! đź‘Ť

With the initial procedures having been used today, there shouldn't be any further problem in any session in the future :)

Only 4 showed of? I should have been there today as what I did instead ended up being a waste of time :grumpy:.

Actually we had a fifth driver but he came very last minute and did not have everything clear, so he instead decided to watch, in order to avoid any trouble đź‘Ť

I want to insist that people can still join the race for next week. Only that they won't be able to qualify properly. But they're definitely allowed to join and race! :)

Me, I wanna insist on the checks procedure. For them who don't know/understand what we do, i can understand they think that the procedure seems veeeery long and annoying.

But why?

Because drivers go in the settings page during the checks.
Because drivers are not in the right specs.
Because drivers could join the room too late (means a separate check)
Because drivers use the chat during the checks

First of all, during the checks, everyone should be quiet, patient and attentive.

If guys go in the setting page, we have to redo the checks. If guys are not in the specs, they have to go in the setting page to meet the right specs so we have to redo the checks.

So if everyone is definitely fine with the specs (remind: specs are simply 80.0% PL, 600kg, 863pp, nothing else), checks will go like a charm and very quick.

We need no more than 3-4mn in GATE to check a full grid and different car specs. Why? cause all guys read and respect the rules, nothing more, nothing less. ;)

And sorry if my post seems rude to newcomers. But i'm french and it's difficult sometimes for me to find the kind words to explain a "critical" situation.

đź‘Ť Litchi. I will see what DF balance I will run then try some laps in the week. :)

Don't be sorry about anything, Will. I agree with what you said. Word by word. All of it. đź‘Ť

Check the opening post, and you'll see Race Day is next friday, at 19:00 UTC.

And so I remind everyone taking part that we entered race week! Keep your skills sharp, because an exciting race is ahead of us.

I thought we drive this friday?

Next friday = the friday that comes next = friday this week. :)

August 17th at 19:00 UTC, in case somebody still has doubts!

Awesome, I'm gonna try hard to be there Alex.

Before we start the race, as there's some drivers who missed qualifying, we can give a short ten minute session to decide the starting order from behind the top 4 who did qualify.

Important to note that the top 2 drivers from that session will have to start the race in the tyres they use to qualify.

This last qualifying session will take place at 18:30 UTC tomorrow. Those drivers who show up before that time, can take part in this qualifying session. Those who show up later than that will be ordered according to their arrival time (first come first serve).

Qualifying Results

4- GTP_Litchi: 1:28.482 (Medium Tyres)

I expect the following drivers to be there as well:

- paulmac2k9
- Artmannn
