You are of course, correct. Again. Lol
I just get suspicious in my old age. All drivers have been selected because they are trustworthy.

RIP_Welsh_Don
Quite a few new drivers here too which is great.

I would be one of those guys. Glad I received an invite! Hopefully I can get the hang of Laguna as it's not one of my best tracks. What's a good time around Laguna? I could use a target time.

Laguna is my worst track. 1:25's are very good, 1:26's are good. I am in the 27's at the mo.

How did you figure the R1's were wearing differently, just in how they lasted longer? How many stops did you do? Most of us I'm sure did just two stops.

I was surprised at how many laps I could run past the tires prime, and that caught me out... At lap 11, I still had a lot of tire showing on the indicators so I changed strategy to a 1 stop race... big mistake. I didn't realize that the 4 following laps would lose nearly an entire pit stop worth of time and then force me to lose similar time again on the second stint toward the end. With softs, you may lose a little extra time by lengthening a stint, but it normally turns out better/even, with Hards it wasn't even close. I think it has more to do with how many slow laps the hards can turn before they are useless versus the number a soft tire can turn (significantly less).

Z Crazy
You can add one more here.

I'm debating between the '08 Garaiya and IS350 still...

Edit: after 10ish laps, I ran faster than I have with the Garaiya.

Stretching softs an extra 2 laps, is only 2 laps. You can't stretch softs more than 1-2 laps either.
Stretching hards can take from 4-8 extra laps. 3-6 extra laps of lost time.

You can burn through a set at Monaco in 10 laps if you go all out, but running 15 laps at 98% will be much faster. Depends on the angle of the dangle, and race tire wear is never the same as it was in practice.

I'm more concerned about the cars being equal rather than forcing the power to fit into the right bracket. It can be confirmed with a combination of PP, weight, and minimum power anyway so it's not a problem there either.

Although if it's equal at 345 then just say the word, but I feel like it's just a tad too much.
Adam and I are the only drivers I know of that feel the '08 needs the full 345HP.

But, as said there, I absolutely think it needs 345HP. It doesn't corner faster than any comparable cars by any marginal amount.
It's a very well-behaved car at stock settings, and 4wd compounds the issue by giving it even more grip, so it's very easy to throw quick fast laps in it.

My only issues comes in that after practicing and driving a car for the season, and getting it dialed in just as you like, all the other cars improve, and this is where the '08 finally shows that it is at a disadvantage, because it can't improve from stock much.

Case in point: If I were to test all the GT300 cars now, I would find the Lexus the fastest, I always do now. That wasn't the case before WSGTC 3, and after this season, driving a different car, I expect I will find that(not sure yet, maybe Garaiya) and the Lexus "the 2 fastest".

CSL, I'm no ace driver but I couldn't get the Garaiya to match the is350 at Suzuka. Maybe the Lexus suits me better though. Then again, maybe I can't tune worth a crap which could very much so be the case.

Well, I'm a bit slow, but if anyone's around:

My 08 Subie was near the top of my "pick list" (3rd). It turned good times at 335hp at its native weight in the testing I did at Tskuba and GP/D, however I'm not 100% sure those were a good test track sample. Those two tracks saw most of the cars very even.

I can't get the Garaiya to match the 03 Subaru, 03 Celica, the RX7's, or the Lexus on almost any track.
The Garaiya is another car with a pretty good stock tune that can't gain much speed through tuning.

I was quicker with the Lexus but I'm not comfortable with how.it feels. Anytime I get into the accelerator it becomes very tail happy. The turn I seem to have a problem with at Laguna is the first hairpin. Anytime I rolled on the throttle the rear end wants to rotate more than it should. Although, when I fiddled with the tune and stopped the oversteer, my times dropped. Either I need to get used to the oversteer or find a happy medium with a tune.

Room up for a bit...

The weight on the Garaiya is very subtle, but definitely holds it back on certain tracks. However, I'm not sure I got a finger on "what type of track" so I'm gonna stay away from it. My Lexus and 08 Subie have been good everywhere I tested them, with the Lexus having better tire wear tendencies.

If anyone is available, could I get someone to watch my q?

Its the lack of torque exiting slow corners.I had this problem fixed but those changes didnt make the cut.:indiff:

Thanks for bustin out my qualify.

1 st lap I had to catch myself after the corkscrew. Then on the 2nd on I did a 360 at the second to the last turn. Didn't go off track, saved it but a bad time posted :(.
