Sorry for not posting or keeping up guys, I had a long string of things that didn't go my way. A post resigning from the series for technical difficulties was on my fingertips for 2-3 weeks, but since I dread those I delayed it. :(
Poor internet service, internet outages, and PC's crapping out behind me (for now anyway) it does seem I'm in the clear now to join you all on track again though. :)

Oh, and I fell in love...

It's like someone took the sexiest curve from every sport bike ever made and put them all together. :D

Great to hear you'll be getting back out on track Dom 👍

I must say the bike is *nice*, but it's a Honda ;) This would be my choice and maybe someday, it will be MINE!!! lol

Do all of you bike lovers like moto Gp? If you do F1 is better by a mile ;) !

There was a time when it was the other way around, but F1 and its new rules package really hit on something. No series is even close to how well that field is balanced (without running spec cars). And the best part of it... they did it while allowing the freedom to design what you like.

I hate this track. I won't be fast. I'll do a horrible race and this won't help my motivation issues at all. Life's good :D *

EDIT: I may not be racing this weekend. And we'll see from now on. Maybe I just need a "big" summer break. I'm not exactly satisfied with the fact that drivers who I used to fight with are 2 seconds faster than me, and it affects me on a personal level that goes way beyond the simple fact of playing a game.

I was enjoying it last night during practice. Thought I'd dislike. However the opposite happened after a few laps.

Oh I don't dislike it at a "let's run a few laps" level. But when I try to go as fast as possible, it just won't happen. And knowing I can be faster than that... gets on my nerves. It's awful.

I'm going to to speak my heart out here, and confess to you I feel I'm such a loser. So whenever I find one thing I am not terribly bad at it, I put my whole self into it. So when I fail again, it feels worse :dopey: I'm so smart.

Dude, imagine how some of us other drivers feel. I hate getting beat at something...I'm super competitive. But look at how many people are faster than me. Don't let it get ya down, after all it is just a game.

Hell, I was ecstatic when I made d1 at Fuji. I was still way off pace of some of the top guys. Not too mention my best lap at Fuji with a full fuel load was my qualifying lap. Low 40's was more of a norm for me. I'm dreading Cape also. I've turned ONE 2:35.5xx and have yet to get close to that again. It was a miracle lap for me. I end up wrecking before getting a solid lap in. Just run some practice, do what ya can and look forward to next weekend. I am...

Quickly thrown together tranny for the Garaiya. Close gearing, to stay within powerband:

Final gear to 4.000
Max speed to minimum
Final gear to 2.500
Gears:
3.772
2.840
2.392
2.013
1.697
1.447

I'm happy I matched cicua on 3 of 4 sectors but I am consistently losing .8-1.0 sec in sector 3,from the other pit lane thru the staircase-BL 2.34.0.Pit strategy will probably be based on damage repair instead of tire wear since there are half a dozen places its easy to stuff the car into something.

I-Force,

I've notice the Garaiya is very good through the ring, once setup. I was seeing about 7-10 MPH more on entry over my Lexus (Lexus required a slight lift where the Garaiya was still wide open). I'm assuming it holds a similar advantage to the RX7. That may account for some of the time. How aggressive are you on the left-right just after the ring and getting on to the pit straight? Those are pretty key points where I would imagine someone could lose time.

You're in a slump it sounds, following some great racing in WSGTC. I had exactly the same problem after JGTC.

What I did was cut my time back and start racing with less practice, putting less stake into them, but that seems to lead to longer breaks. I'm sure everyone would like to see you finish the season, etc, but if you really need a break just take one. If you take a break before you're totally burned out, the itch will come back faster.

That's just my 2 cents based on the past 6 months for myself.

Most times I am on the knife edge of a wreck thru that section. Its very handy that the entrance to the pits is right there so when I fly off the track at the last left I can just slide thru the grass and right into the pits

Apologies in advance - I'll definitely be unavailable this week, as we're out of town that day. Good luck with the formation flying, everyone!

... and WB, Dom!

PS: And in case I forget, huge congrats, Eddie!

i don't understand this track... she doesn't love me and i have a top lap in 2'36"7 :'(

lol

Thanks guys. I've decided to kind of change my approach, somehow. I would usually think of the whole series, but now I've decided to just take every race as it comes. I'll just try for the best result in any race that I take part in, without worrying about the series. "We'll take each race as it comes, and when the season's over we'll see where that puts us", as racers would say.

At least I have a 34.9 now. Hopefully when race day comes I can have a PB of 34.0...

If no one else is on, I will be opening my own room this evening. Really need to practice. I really do hate this course. :(

34.1 is my best now. However, there's at least 0.3 or 0.4 to be scratched between the first two sectors. Last sector I think 0.1, and middle sector, where I'm just rubbish, I don't really know. Let's see, it's still thursday...!

Owens or Welsh should have the other lap time.If not I will get it posted later today.
