Procedures include specs?

No, Joe meant like rules etc. Specs will be under 500bhp, slightly lighter and I forget whether the tyres differ (pretty sure they don't).

Can i just ask, are the team owners/leaders in this going to be owners/leader for lights or will it be 2 different sets of owners?

For Lights I think we'll probably just have people teaming up with whoever they want. I don't know about team sizes though.

Oh and about the pace car- in Lights we'll have the room restriction on tyres set to racing hard or medium so that the pace car can keep a decent speed through the turns under caution rather than having to tiptoe round on the grippier comfort tyre available. It'll also mean that the pace car will no longer run wide out of the pit exit and across the grass onto the track at Indy. I don't know why the non pace-car version of it has aero and this one doesn't, since the only difference between the two on the outside is the lights that the pace car has.

EDIT: Lights is still 473bhp, with 680kg or 700kg depending on if it's an oval or road course. Tyres allowed are the same as the IndyCar series on all tracks.

Oh one more thing Tom: with pace cars hopefully in both series, what will we do about when the field would speed up to 120mph or so under caution when pitstops begin? Have the pace car drive as fast as it can (though with a more limited top speed on ovals)?

Alright, I'll take KV Racing and will be driving the #5 Citgo car.(Orange)

Gotcha 👍

It's up to you to give the green light on your team mate by the way. I'm sure someone will turn up between now and next month so you should be golden regardless.

Oh crap. Sorry dude, we've just been sorting things out as we go and since you're never around, I didn't have anything to remind myself to talk to you.

damn, the white and blue FGT has been evading me . can't find him anywhere! What level ticket is it?

 Just bought it.

I will be in the #17 Durex car.

Can I change colours and sponsors sometimes during the season? Like real life NASCAR anyway..

Well my slogan is;

'Durex, keeps you going faster for longer'

Sly ;)

McAfee, secures the win virus free. ;)

And some from my other sponsors. ;)

Yellow: Wonderbra, keeps the front all together under pressure ;)

Red: Shell, for those precious few miles 'till the end ;)

Green and White: Asda, racing to even lower prices. ;)

How's that look? If we started from the preseason the week after EuroRacecar finishes on the 21st of September, we'd be done by the 14th of December 👍

I suppose so, it's 6/6 at the moment. I could drop a Motegi race for another road course if everybody else wants to although I think ovals are always great fun.

For Motegi are you going by it's length in GT5 or elsewhere? GT5 has it at exactly 1.5 miles, and elsewhere it's 1.4 something miles.

So it is 1.5 in GT5? Makes things easier I suppose.

EDIT: May go by the real length as that allows us to do GWC finishes in the season finale.

Surely it still is the 'actual' real life length in game though and it's just rounded? It wouldn't be of any importance apart from like I say above, which distance we go off affects whether there'll be GWC finishes in the World Championship race.

Oh and your thoughts on whether it should be a 6/6 or 7/5 road/oval split would be nice guys 👍

I doubt it's rounded for their purposes. They made SSRX the hyper-specific 18.82 miles in length.

According to Wikipedia, the Motegi oval's length is 1.549 miles, but GT5 doesn't list it as 1.55 miles, which is what it would be if they rounded to 2 decimal places (like SSRX).

Argh, that's annoying. I may just lower the race distance down to 250 miles.

EDIT: I'm planning on making the series 13 rounds which including the preseason would have us ending on the 21st of December instead. There are only a couple of options for the track choice, I want it to be another street course so we have more street tracks than dedicated road courses, just like IRL.

Going by that, it's either got to be SSR5 or Monaco. Last season at SSR5 only fell apart because I dropped out of the room and you all had to sort cautions and restarts out yourselves so don't let that taint your view of the track.
