Interesting schedule. I don't mind on the oval/road decision, I just know that I'll have a chance at the ovals.

When does EuroCar end? I don't follow that.

1.549 miles matches up with various races that have happened on the oval (such as the 1998 NASCAR race, where they ran 201 laps/311 miles).

Euro NASCAR has 5 races left if I remember right, so the pre-season for IndyCar will probably be the friday after the last Euro race.

Wasn't this used a season or two ago IRL?

Yup, Motegi road's already in there 👍

I'll go by the real distance then Joe, will switch them up later.

I know there's quite a few other tracks we could choose from but i really think an IndyCar series should at least have more street than road courses. IRL the street/road split is 6/4, if we added Monaco or SSR5 ours would be 4/3 which i think is fine.

Motegi road is I must, since the re IndyCar series raced it last season.

Get rid of SSR5, that was a terrible track.

The only other two street courses are London and Monaco; seen as London has no pit lane I think we'd have to go with the latter. It is a great track, any objections?

Rome, Madrid, which we have I think. Tokyo Bay short track Oval?

Yep, we have Rome, Madrid and Tokyo in. I think Monaco is a better option than that, especially considering that it won't have a pit lane.

Maybe another circuit? Tokyo bay Oval short track? Motegi West pleaaaase.

Considering you have once again failed to include me in being involved with the decision making of this series I am just going to remove myself from any attachment here and start my own. Good luck Tom and everyone else.

Sorry you feel that way man, you're never around so I can't really solely base decisions off the views of a guy who doesn't race can I? Fair play, best of luck to you.

Say, Tom, ok for me to do the odd Indy Lights race when my sundays become clearer at home?

You know I can't make the races for the time you selected. All I asked was that I be involved in the series I helped get started. You've consistently overlooked my input and flat out ignored me. You gave me your word I would be involved for season 3 and I can't say I'm surprised you never contacted me.

So, I'll start my own and run it properly and actually include the people that want to be involved. Once again, good luck.

Who is that LVracer guy? First post I saw him do was him saying you don't involve him in decisions, never seen him before that.

EDIT: Never mind ^^^^ :nervous:

I was one of the people who got this series started, and THE person who came up with what tires to run, how to make the cars feel as close to IndyCar's as possible, came up with the idea to run restricted transmissions for closer, more realistic racing on ovals, and then excluded from everything. Nice to meet you.

Hi :)

And we thanked you on more than one occasion. There were the four of us. Me, Tom, Joe and yourself. We tried split US and EU friendly leagues and that didn't work. we had to move to one time and the one that suited 'the most people' was the time we went for.

Thanks to your input, and the fanbase this league has through the excellent hosting and affiliation with other series, this is one of the best leagues out there, no doubt.

Plus, there were times on Friday evenings we all see you come on line, in time to race, but fail to show. That doesn't say that 'you' have been serious about this series.

So, we thank you for the ideas that you generated for the group we had putting this together, and good luck in your future endeavours. 👍

Couple things,

1st I appreciate that you have thanked me, but since Tom took control of the series I have been shut out. I accept the race time and I've said that before. But I still wanted to be involved in bettering the series and decision making and Tom has ignored me altogether.

2nd, I live with my girlfriend and she gets on my PS3 when im not home. The start times are close to do-able for me but I won't apologize for not wanting to jump into a seat immediately after a work day for an extended period of time without showering or eating or taking my dog for a walk or talking with my girlfriend. And when I say immediately that's not a exaggeration, I would literally have to get home and immediately start turning things on and completely ignore everything and everyone else for the night to race.

'Since I took control'? I'm sorry dude, but I've always been in control; this series in it's current format was started by that interest checks thread I posted last September just days after I joined GTP. Knelly and Joe have always been by my side but I've always been the admin as it were.

It's great that you accept the race time but I cannot base all my decisions on the thoughts of a guy who doesn't race with us, and I know that's not your fault. 'Tom, we want to do this instead' 'Sorry guys, we can't do that because LV says so' etc. etc. It just wouldn't work. We have guys who do that every now and again; Drop being an example. He doesn't race week in week out because the times are tricky for him but he occasionally drops in for a race, it's not a big ask really.

We've had this argument before and although we thank you for your early work, that's been and gone and this series has evolved a lot since. End of story.

Goodbye and good luck.
