Something I was thinking of the other day was the points awarded for the Le Sarthe round. As it was an enduro with just 1 heat, it seems to me that it could become an automatic dropped round regardless of how anyone performed as there was only 1 point scoring opportunity instead of 2. Maybe the points awarded should be 1.5x to compensate for this? :)

I was thinking the same in regards to ballast.
Less points still gave Den 60KG's ballast. :indiff:

Denso/Petronas SC430 setup:

+13/+8
17.8.17.3
9/7
7/9
5/5

2.2/1.0
0.00/0.00

BB 4/3

LSD:7/11/5

Eddieboy, can you come in and watch me go? Jeff left and never came back. :(

EDIT: Nevermind, he's back.

Bleh. Terrible run by me. Cut Ascari on my first flyer and took my head right out of it.

Usually the pressures of quali don't get to me.

Mule- 1:47.810 Clean

Rooms closed Racers. See ya in about 10 hrs.

Also got a cool idea for qualifying. While it is just fine. I had this thought. If you are on the second lap aka first flying lap and you crash before you cross start finish you can wave off the run. This can be done once and immediately have to make your run again. :)

I don't see this used all that much but sure would be helpful when you get damaged from something silly in a qualifier. If second attempt is botched then doubtful it was bad luck. ;)

Anyway night all.

I actually brought this up for discussion before the race. An enduro should ofc be worth equal points as a dual heat round.

Did'nt Joshua1994 quali?

posimosh is out btw.

Entered Wardez's room about 4pm yesterday and he wasn't there. Didn't have time the rest of the day :ouch:

Qualifying from now is 2% penalty right?

13th... and I was running on low 46s... So frustrating! :(

Ah well, I hope D2 guys are welcoming with me!

-----TRACK BOUNDARY IMAGES-----
Green checkmark = clean. Red x = dirty.

Turns 1 chicane. Stay on the red and white. Your angle of attack will be looked at closely.

tx7cs.jpg

Be very careful coming into T3 chicane Roggia. It's easy to get out of bounds in such a tight place. And yes we will utilize millimeter size tolerances when inspecting questionable lap replays, do not try to get fresh.

ZEt8y.jpg

The black tar run off after turn 4 in the beginning of Lesmo is an easy place to have a sandwhich so staying clean is vital to keeping your lap going, not much science going on here and not much to gain from going off the red and white curbing - Cutting turn 5 will not be tolerated.

5DydH.jpg
CqyF8.jpg

The run off in turn 5 can't be used for speed, as with T4's exit, so just stay on surface and you're fine - The more important part is your line back on track. You must get off the curbing before it ends and the green concrete keeps going. If you go back on track staying on the tar and crossing over the green concrete past the curbing your lap will be considered invalid. This goes for qualifying and during the race.

This is the proper line, though extremely close, in getting back on track after T5's exit.

This is Turn 7's first left kink curbing/green concrete pad and yes this is a bad lap. I was serious when I said millimeters - The partner image is a close shave, but definitely clean.

Now this is T7's right hand kink. Ascari is tough to get a good rhythm through, but if you're off like this, don't bother trying to save it. The second image is more tasteful and clean.

Ascari left kink exit.

Do not finish T7's exit by crossing the solid white line beyond the curbing - Join the track proper before the curb ends.

Turn 8/ Parabolica is impossible to cut to gain time so we won't worry about that, standard rules apply.

On to the pits:

8xKcy.jpg

Do not cut into the pits like this on entrance. You must take an intentional angle of attack when coming in out of the final turn. Stay inside the yellow line. We will hand out penalties for not doing so. If you're past the proper entrance and realize it when it's too late, it's better to just do another lap than receiving a penalty for pitting unappropriately.

8BxLi.jpg

On pit exit you must, again, stay within the yellow line. Then stay within the extended pit exit line (solid white) all the way until its completion at the 1st turn 100m marker. We will make sure you abide by this rule. It's to keep your acceleration zone away from those that may be coming in full speed into turn 1. Do this even if you're absolutely sure no one else is around on the straight.

Just stay to the right then after the pit line ends, and if the coast is clear, get on with the racing! You can almost feel that little pace car's happiness.

Hurray!

I just got Le Mans on Blu-ray with 7.1 surround sound and decided to throw it on this morning, ignoring the fact that my GF was still sleeping upstairs. Let's just say she wasn't too thrilled about being woken up by the sound of Porsche's flat-12.

Joshua1994: You can't quali now. It's too late. You have to start last in D2. And you have to start at the back in heat 2 as well.

I could've sworn it was just one race today.

And Jamen, you're exemplary. :gtpflag:
