I changed our thread title btw, we're one of the few series who do less complaining and more arranging than the others. And I know we all appreciate that. Hope the little adage on the title reflects that.

Fight on with us guys, fight on :)

Yup Wardez we are the warriors fighting to ignore the bug and still race as GT5 intended :D.

Hey guys, just sitting at the airport waiting for my little plane to take me to Paris and then jumping on the big monster a380 straight to south Africa. Can't wait. I'll check in at a later date. Good luck with the green Hell this week gents

any idea what we're going to use as the start-line btw?

I'm thinking we roll-off down the GP circuit and start the race after bit-kurve. Gives the run down the hill to the chicane as a nice straight-away. There's also a nice line across the road after the chicane which would work, but then you've got turn1 being the tricky left onto the north-loop where I could see someone getting put into the wall.

Have fun and be safe. Don't wander into District 9, you might lose a limb or something. :dopey:

I'm 99% sure the start line is the line where qualifying laps officially start.

Get us some pics of feeding crazy African wildlife that can kill you by accident. :D
And don't get eaten!

Pag: Have a nice trip/holiday! 👍
Would be great to see some pictures when you get back. Take care mate, and have fun!

Tim: The start line is the same line as we start quali from. 👍

I think we should consider starting it on the GP track. It's much wider and gives us a little bit of time to warm up the tires before the bumpy insanity starts.

Could quite possibly of set the worst qualifying in history..

Spun just before the start line getting engine and front left wheel damage, absolutely gutted.

Start will roll single file, and from the line where quali starts.
We've always done like this, and it works like a charm every time. 👍

I thought we always roll out double file? ... which would be pretty rough through the first section of the nordschleife.

That would be insane.
But hey, you said you prefer single file...:D

We did actually have a good clean start, in WSGTC like this, so I've no worries here. :)

Den - Be in in a min. (yes, already there, but not really there yet:lol: )

Yep Tim, but for this race we'll roll single file. 👍

It will be stated in the race specifics prior race.

chorda - 5:55.169

NM, he updated already.
Did a 3 lap race, and it's tight, at least for us, between 2-3 laps per pit. :scared:

.: RACE SPECIFICS | S8 | Nurburgring 24h | 12 LAPS | JAN 29 :.

Race Specifics:
Standard OLR rules apply as always.

Pit Entry: Nothing special about it. The guard rails are nasty tho.

Pit Exit: As always, stay inside the white line when exiting the pits. Cars on track approach at 260-270 km/h, and will have a hard time trying to avoid anything that's not expected.
Same goes for cars on track: You can cross the white pit exit line, but if you interfere with a car comming out from the pits, a penalty will be handed out.

Track bounderies: Always stay inside the white line/red and white rumble strip with at least 2 wheels all the time.

Start: The start Line that we will use is the same sector line as we start the quali from. Concider the GP section and the first part of the Nordschleife up until "Flugplatz" as the warm up lap.
IMPORTANT: Cars will roll SINGLE file!

Good luck, and have fun!! 👍

My internet is much improved after the router got replaced :D. (Hoping that makes me lag less so I dont get lag punted..)

Well, I've stewarded Ansem and I've this:

28.244
27.442
28.324
19.917
42.128
= 2:26.055
total time: 8:19.935

8:19.935 - 2:26.055 = 5:53.880

Am I good in math?

Wow, that is simply amazing. Congrats, Ansem!

By the way, Happy Birthday Will ;)

Not looking forward to this... I love this track just as much as the next person, but I seem not to be fast enough. Actually, ever since Monza I seem to have entered some kind of bad karma moment, and I'm just the worst...!
