Is there anybody who could steward me? :)

I'm doing an awful lap, so might as well get done with it.

EDIT: Nevermind; I have to leave for a while now, and then I have the WSGTC preseason race, so maybe later.

Any rooms up still?

Anyone fighting connection.

My speeds have been off lately not terrible 10Mb down 1.5 Mb up, not good considering i was grtting 15+ Mb and 2+Mb. So wanting all my bandwidth I pay for. I call Comcast. Guy suggest I replace modem. Was a DOCSIS 2.0 and went with a 3.0 being a lil skeptical that this would help anything I bought a new one anyway. Got it hooked up and called Comcast to have it registered. Now to test the speed. First test 20+ Mb down and 3.5 Mb up. The lil graph that goes along with download was smooth. No jagged peaks. Which then it hit me. The old modem tests had spikes. Up and down in the speeds. Never flat or even hills. SPIKES /\_/\/\___/\ looked like that. LoL. So assume these were dropping connection. Now with new modem. I have rooms loading faster. Restarts maps with no hanging. My recommend room type Very High!!!!

So something to consider if you are using a modem that's a couple yrs old.

Are you referring to the Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) or is DISCOSS some funky modem brand I've never heard of?

What you said. I knew I should of grabbed the box and checked exactly what it was.

Odd thing the 2.0 Modem used to pull 15+ Mb and 2.5+ Mb when I used it at the old house. Same provider. Pulled these numbers at this house. I changed nothing. The guy implied they changed stuff.

If you can explain more. I'd be all ears. Even if your going to call bs on this tech and info. I get a feeling if I bought a 2.0 it would of fixed it. Basically think my old modem was on its way out. Dust and all.

Ansem: No, it's not possible to do MUCH better..

I'd say 5:53's will be top 3. Well done! 👍

Weather is fixed. Only change is time (as in day-to-night transitions).

By the way, I can qualify now. Is there anyone who could verify my time? Thanks!

We're not running weather due to a horrible experience with it in WSGTC 2. Rain, at night, no man, no it's not fun or interesting at all, no.

haha, anyway, yeah Alex, join this room:

So I have a feeling I might be missing the race. :grumpy:
Have to be at work at 5am Sunday, we never know how long it'll be until we're done, so I'll make it if I can make it. :(

Denilson
Pag and SG15 as far as I know..

I won't be racing this weekend as well. I have exams next week, so I'm dedicating the next few days to studying. I'll be good for next weeks race though.

Ah ok :dunce: and im waiting for Autoglass to come along and fix the chips in my Fiestas' windscreen, so maybe later ;).

LoL is it worth it. Just take it to the scrappy.

Oh BTW Haggis, neeps 'n' tatties is nice with a wee dram of single malt poured over it. 👍

Of course you need one on the side with a wee drappy o water and a lager chaser.

I lived in Pitlochry for six years. My folks are both from Aberdeen.

 Muzz my cars well worth it 9 months with no mechanical problems ect ect :D and I plan to keep it for another year and a bit then get something a bit bigger :). (Also Autoglass does it through the insurance im on for free :dopey:)

My aussie mate Corey though his Nissan Pulsar 1.6 (Aussie version) is a hunk of yunk when I visited him for a month and a half it went through 3 batteries needed jump started atleast 4 times, the front shocks are rubbish, the gearbox was nackerd and the engine was running rough. 6 months later his gearbox finally broke and he spent over 600$ to fix it and it still runs rough and rides s:censored:t...

Btw where you were is 86 miles from my house ;).

Nice one.. Good on fuel too.. I had a 2.5 liter V6 Vectra over there. Sucked the gas. Over here I have 1977 Holden HX Monaro with a 6 liter 350cid SB Chev in it. I'd hate too run that in the UK.

Yeah 40mpg+ :D, it needs to be as our fuel prices are £1.30+ per litre :scared: where as in Australia its just over 1$ (Which is 65-70p in the UK :banghead:)

Be cheaper if we Scots could make a car to run on fizzy drinks as you can get a 3L bottle of juice for £1.25 ..... I mean how hard can it be :sly:. (Im sure theres a car that can run on alcohol.. so its nearly the same :P)

There is a big ORCA vs WRS race today. Once it's over my focus in surviving the Green Hell!

See you guys this evening. 20:00 GMT or so.

.: RACE SPECIFICS | S8 | Nurburgring 24h | 12 LAPS | JAN 29 :.

Race Specifics:
Standard OLR rules apply as always.

Pit Entry: Nothing special about it. The guard rails are nasty tho.

Pit Exit: As always, stay inside the white line when exiting the pits. Cars on track approach at 260-270 km/h, and will have a hard time trying to avoid anything that's not expected.
Same goes for cars on track: You can cross the white pit exit line, but if you interfere with a car comming out from the pits, a penalty will be handed out.

Track bounderies: Always stay inside the white line/red and white rumble strip with at least 2 wheels all the time.

Start: The start Line that we will use is the same sector line as we start the quali from. Concider the GP section and the first part of the Nordschleife up until "Flugplatz" as the warm up lap.
IMPORTANT: Cars will roll SINGLE file!

Good luck, and have fun!! 👍

Also in the OP, bottom, Post 1.

I'll qualify tonight sometime during the 24. Not sure when, but it'll be before the deadline :)

@Dennis

Tony just went and ran a 5:55.810. But...

He had four off (actually a quarter spin) so what is the penalty?

He didn't gain any time, actually lost time, so he doesn't need a penalty, correct?
