Little of both. Picked it up in college (RIT) doing a minor in web-design ontop of my advanced networking degree. Now I do enterprise storage management for a bank. So with petabytes of shared storage connected to thousands of servers i use php to do lots of performance and capacity data analysis for dynamic reporting.


btw... if you want to take care of your rar problem.

7-zip is your friend. it's free, fast, small and opens everything (even cd iso files).
easily the best compression program in the world. everyone should have it.

Lol Daniel.. That run was by far the worst one I've ever done.. 2 completely worthless laps..

We'll see where it puts me.
Lucky me that quali will not determine which Division I'll race in for this round.. I need to rely on a good performance come Sunday though.

what I'm lost so we not fighting for divisions now? How can we make it to div1 then?

Points haul from race 1 + 2 decides demotees and promotess to and from division 1 and 2. You will be locked into that division for races 3 + 4, and again, the points haul from them 2 races decides ...

I surely stay in Div 2 with my dismal display of race craft.

Your results from races 1 and 2 will decide what division you will be in for races 3 and 4. Similarly, the qualifier before race 1 decided what divisions you will be in for race 1 and 2.

The bottom 4 drivers who have the worst results (the lowest amount of points scored) from race 1 and 2 in division 1 will be demoted to division 2. The top 4 drivers in division 2 who have the best results (the most amount of points scored) from race 1 and 2 will be promoted to divison 1. You will then be locked into them divisions for race 3 and 4. Similarly, you are locked into for your division you are in now for race 1 and 2.

This carries on up until race 9. Race 10 will be decided by a classic weekly qualifier so that no driver is locked into a division for the important last race of the season, race 10.
 
Oh yea. I recall now. Great system really. Now for a decent showing at Spa!!!

Dennis q time had me excited till he said they was crap laps. I was running 15's yesterday with room to improve. Was so hoping I was closer. Figures 14's or better would be the fast mark.

team and driver standings are done

to do:
* finishing the password reset feature
* getting personal + team mate results tables on the home screen
^ (probably be done later tonight)

* quali + fast lap bonus points
* divisional promotion/demotion

After that I think I'm done with all the core logic so we can fill it with content and I can probably take feature requests over the holidays.
I was thinking a ballast tracker would be a nice addition to the standings page so it's in a public place.

Pretty efficient so far too... only 577 lines of code @ 135KB of disk (that will pork up a bit once we start sprinkling graphics around).
... though there's always room for more optimization. :D
