It's time to get starting with this league now! 👍

After 2 weeks off, and a whole lot of food, I bet most of us need to get some practice in to get back up to pace.

I need to practice a lot. The NSX with 60 kg ballast will be a har one to get in top 12 to make D1.
I expect pole to land at around 1:31.1-3 something.
Getting the NSX in that kind of paci is doable, but not in the low 31's.. The high 31's at best I guess. A 31 would most likely get a driver to D1.

I was called in for work these last few days, so did not have the time to download the Sarthe replay.
I've not yet contacted Tim regarding the tables.
But I'm on it. 👍

Nothing has cganged regarding any rules.
Only thing that I want to point out is that we are running completely open qualis from this round.

Tires:
Same as always. Racing Hards for quali and race.

Quali opens up Monday, Jan 2nd.

Race: Sunday, Jan 8th.

Looking som much forward to race you guys again!! 👍

I feel so fat from the food and drink I've ate/drunk Lol i don't think ill be able to sit in my seat haha. Anyway looking forward to racing again with you guys...

I repeat what I said; low 31's pole? A high 31 meaning D1? I'm going to be the very last driver of D2, then!! Haha.

Gv ill see where im at, also on food people have eaten ive eaten loads but im still skinny  stupid high metabolism :P.

I'm eating a lot but I'm still on my usual weight, too. Lucky me! :P

I don't know, I was feeling I wasn't doing bad at Monaco, felt quite close to the limit. A low 33 or even high 32 is what I was anticipating for the pole. 31 seems just crazy, for me.

I hit 32.1 in a stock GTR in WSGTC season 2, but I am looking for 31's this time around, despite 30 KG's extra weight.. :mischievous:

Oh my God. Just how on earth do you do that? I know I'm using the same settings since Spa, but...

Now THAT's an answer!! I guess... it's just about trying harder!

It's about yanking the wheel, slamming the brakes, smashing the throttle, and generally driving like a maniac, all within inches of walls.

It's finally time for some GT500 racing again. Probably my favourite track, plus it suits the car so my goal is full points. The problem is i'll have a 100kg fatty seating on my rear wing and i'll have to adapt to no abs braking with a GT500. Eager to see how it works out. I'll do some testing tomorrow.

Thanks, Dom, will try! 👍

And... excuse me, are we doing no ABS from now on? I didn't know that?

Nice to see the thread start to live up again.

Hi friends!!

Tony: You expecting full points with 100kg extra?? That's a real task for you. Not that I will even be close concidering drivingskills/car, but 100kg could probably add 1 second around Monaco I guess..

If someone is going to do it, it's probably you..

And no ABS?
You've been reading the tire wear threads? I've seen some discussing regarding it..

At this point most of my competitors have some ballast so the difference is not that great anymore. Well, i'l try.

I've been reading the threads early after the update, lately not so much, don't know if ABS affects tire wear. I will check.

Well, the thing is I have a problem, which is I value my steering wheel so much I find it hard to yank it, to be hard on it, being afraid It'd break. So, sometimes I feel I'm losing speed because I'm too gentle. Hopefully this race will convince me that it doesn't happen and I can change my style a bit!

I'm running decent times now in practice, concidering my car and ballast.. But my tires wear down in like 5 laps..

Feature race is 53 laps.. So 9 stops then.. :scared:

That on race hards , your doing a Mole from WSGTC 2 Gt300 at Monaco :P.

Edit: So the sprint is 15 laps yes? (A 2 stop sprint )

I just had my first 5 laps managed a high 32 but bloody hell I hate this track bouncing off inside walls and outside walls like a pinball so f'ing frustrating!

Edit: ARRRRRRRG I hate Monaco so much!.

Yes Paul: 15 laps. 👍

I'm having a hard time reaching 32's.. Guess my hopes for a high 31 is out the door..

I hit high 32s every so often... when im not bouncing off walls :ouch: but most of the time im 33.0-33.5 and swearing at the tv.

Edit: Found a picture that perfectly shows what I think of whoever designed or thought of Monaco as a race...

lol at your pictures Paul!!

But seriously, Monaco is a super tough race.. And 53 laps does'nt make it easier. To come out on top requires super skills!!
I'm guessing top 5 already now..

tony1311, Wardez, WiiFreak, GTP_CSL, Paginas.. All of them will hit low 31's.. tony would hit 30's without his ballast I guess..

YMS and NSX drivers will not have anything to do with top 5.. Perhaps Aderrrm, but he have a lot of ballast, so most likely not..

You guys are running 33s at the lowest?!?!? Last time I ran Monaco in the YMS, I could only manage 36s! Think I'll be sitting at the back of the pack for this one!

It requires a lot of practice to get good lap times around Monaco. There's no margin at all for errors.
Try to stay just a tad safe affects you lap times a lot.
And in pretty much every corner, you need to run perfect lines to even be close to a competative time.

^ That.
And the YMS is the fastest car in a straight line, so you can imagine what that means for it's cornering abilities.
