Like every track this season.
And the Z is slow, and the Denso/Petronas are junk.
I wasn't referring to anyone in particular, I've heard the same complaints about the same cars in every GT500 series I've been in to date.
I never heard anyone complain about the GTR in my life until the HSV came out either. Now all of a sudden it's not that good.
LOL at the HSV BS...
To be clear, I wasn't bitching at or about anyone.I found the GT-R and HSV fastest at Fuji, followed by the Lexus. Laguna the lexus fastest, followed by the GT-R and HSV. Le Sarthe, foujnd the GT-R fastest, with the HSV and Lexus behind. Really equal and all within 2-3 tenths. And yeah I've always found the Z slower, but that's not shared by the majority.
I've never had reason to complain since I found them all equal. Prior to JGTS 2, I always found the Lexus a tad faster like you. It's now all of a sudden that the HSV is too good because the HSV was made faster (extra 800 rpm) and adapted to the 2.09 changes better. I'm able to run more aero on the front that before. Monza I found the HSV slightly quicker, Nurb I found the HSV quickest by at least half a second over the GT-R.
Then again I know some people thought the HSV might be too slow pre 2.09 so it might be alright. These are only my findings. I don't see why people have to be uptight about it when someone even remotely suggests that one car is faster than another.
:S
At Monza I jumped through cars and the GT-R held my PB over the HSV until the race. Much like you guys jumped into HSV's and turned quicker laps, I jumped in the GT-R and did the same. Before 2.09 I found the cars very similar at our specs. I found the GTR a bit easier to achieve good lap times and as I don't pracitce that much any longer I picked the GTR for that reason.
With 2.09 it changed and everytime I compared the HSV and GTR (Suzuka, Monza, SPA), the HSV is about 0.5 sec faster. When I did some practice at SPA having real difficulty to get into the 2.14 with the GTR I then tried the HSV and managed a 2.14 almost instantly. Dave (Twisted) joined the room and I asked him to try the HSV. His previous PB with the GTR was a 2.16.2xx, and within two attemps he managed a 2.15.7 using stock setup.
I think the reason for this change is that with 2.09 its much harder to get to a well balanced car. Tuning is much more muted, and ridehight is more or less turned off. With our spec, the HSV has the andvantage of having the possibility to play with the downforce which is a very powerful set-up tool whihc makes ti unique and if not faster at least much easier to find a fast set-up for each track.
Not complaining, just stating the facts I found.
Isn't the HSV really easy to drive? If so it really should never have any lap time advantage as over a race it's stable ways will allow it to shine.
Just opinion. I'm cool with cars where they are.
Q
Tony: 2:14.164 clean
Who watched his lap? (I only posted it to have the time "on paper" if he who watched it forget the time/accidently erased the time in the sheet/forgot to save the replay)
Very doubtful on racing again tomorrow. Going out again tonight and will just want to chill watching the F1 tomorrow, also haven't quali'd yet so its pointless.
Good time for your debut Ant .
Thanks but, I am not happy with the car, with the setup, I have to correct something because I am losing too much at the first sector!
I don't think I can make the race tomorrow. It's my granddaughters 1st birthday.
How old does that make me feel, lol.
If anything changes I will add myself to the back of the grid. Unlikely though.
