Sorry but where does timer start exactly? I thought it was start of 2nd lap.

What timer?? This isn't a timed race?

It's a rolling start like we always do.
It is explained in GREAT detail in the instructions.

Roll around one lap at 62mph (100kph), feel free to speed up to 100mph on the Mullsanne. Slow it back down to about 50mph at the ford chicane and start at the line.

Denilson quoted "until you reach the timer then go". I have read the instructions but wasn't 100% clear.

Np Hancock. Dennis was talking about the timing start?finish line. So yes, the start of the second lap, Pole is on the left, odds on the left.

Ok, gonna stay off the forums for now, we're starting checks.

I'll glance the thread again just a couple times and will only respod in case of an emergency.

he also said:

"Start line is the same as the start/finish line."

:P

Ok I understand now. Just remember I'm quite new to this series and last time I raced at sarthe in CALM we started race at a different point.

Don't worry next time I'm not 100% sure on something I won't bother asking.

No Hancock, no such thing as a dumb question. Ask all you want, we're happy to answer, we realize it's been a while. No worries! I'd be asking the same questions if I was in your shoes ;)

Have a good race everyone!

New room because I accidentally left Mics on:

don't let my last minute frustration get you down. I was in a better mood for questions an hour ago. ;)
The internet annoyances have me in a worse mood.

Had to retire because I was dead last thanks to a crash between me and Watson (which was totally my fault), got damage from there and saw that I wouldve been about 40 second behind the last place after exiting the pits, so I pulled over and retired.

It was a good start though, I was 4th before my pitstop and 8th(or so) at the moment of the crash. Though Watson lost time, he still hadn't done a pitstop so he was luckier than me.

Dissconected in 15 lap:guilty:

But I had a great time:)
I mess up at start and maybe couse adventurss damage. Also we had one contact later.
Then in first chicane, i break early (maybe too early) and got a damage on both rear tires, but it was ok to drive.

After i saw how things are i was thinking not to pit.But i needed fuel.
I had nice pace and few laps I was behind Adam on 10th position.
Think I could finish 9th.

Too bad,now I even dont have replay:grumpy:

First off, applogies to Petros for missing the "GT5 slipstream sucks, brake early" braking point. Ruined my race, and probably his.

Drove around to the pits, went back out and vowed not to pit again. This was at the end of lap 1.

Ran some good laps (for the Z) for most of the race and passed Cicua while he was pitting with about 4 to go. He eventually caught me and put me in last again. Ran out of fuel on the last lap, so I drove it straight into one of the chicane walls and quit.

Seems this kind of racing is just not for me. I'll do the next race, but if it doesn't go any better than I'm done.

D2 was an absolute joke.

Yeah let's go three wide into a chicane and knock a guy into the sand and not wait for him while the group behind him catch and pass him!

Stupid draft. was having a decent race after the cluster**** that was lap 2.

But nope. Slow cars just had to keep passing me even though I would pull away and almost lose their draft through any corner not named Arnage. Dr. Dre and I were having a good race, I guess. But there was absolutely no reason to try to go to the outside when two cars were side
by side going into the 2nd Mulsanne chicane. Even less reason to hit one of them into the sand and drive off like nothing happened.

Then there was lap 2. I broke slightly too late, and hit one of the Bandais. was going half throttle trying to figure out which Bandai I had
hit so I could let him pass me when I lost it on the grass. I think 2/3rds of the field had
to put at the end of the lap.

Sorry to Hancock for crashing in front of him after I had gotten punted earlier that lap. Snowcrash broke earlier than I expected and I hit him and got damage. Probably my fault. But again, I had the fastest car through Porsche and people loved trying to pass me into them.

Seems like a lot of people ran out of fuel including myself , luckily i ran out on the last lap and last chicane .

Very weird because i put in 1 liter extra

I submitted 8 liters, and I finished in the red ... lol just 👍

I will say the Z got great mileage. Basically did the whole race and ran out before the first chicane on the last lap. Never put a single drop of fuel in. I think if I had topped off during my pit stop for damage, I could have made it.

Guess I should've mentioned this earlier:

1. Always assume the car behind you will brake too late in the draft, so position yourself accordingly.
2. The game will always short your fuel load at Sarthe.

Well I could of got a podium but I only put 1 litre of fuel in and bang last lap ran out and ended up last wow fantastic haha

Was a fun race though

Yes I thik so too.Maybe with low aero whould be easier.
That came up on my mind in race:idea:

My sincerest apologies for the 1st lap shunt, whoever I hit! I don't really know what happened, or why I missed my braking point so badly. There were a bunch of cars all very close together, I was looking for the markers on the left and suddenly it was too late. I have no real excuse. Tried squeezing to the right as much as possible, but couldn't go right any further because of the barrier. When I rejoined, I followed the first car that fell back to me to the pits and then continued.

I'm mortified. Really sorry for ruining someone's race.

I had an awesome race concidering my strategy went down the drain some 9ish laps too early.

Pag, you almost had me there.
Nice try. ;)

I'll file my race report in a few hours.
