100% bumper

Btw: D1 results are up.
Bonus points are not included yet.
Need to varify the fast laps as clean, and also get the D2 results up before finalizing bonuses.

Wow, nice to know I was the 2nd slowest car on the track. Goes to show a great handling car really isn't a fast car.

I'll take care of that later today so we at least have all the fast laps and stuff on the board. We can finalize the points but the IP line will be a ? until the end of the week on this one.

Yeah. That's the beauty with the IP's. 👍

I'm still kicking myself about throwing 3rd spot away. I could of got double what points I got in the end argh!

But as I said before, the race was quite fun so that made up for it.

Plus and extra point has to go to Eddie for his great save at the curves. I was so amazed when he saved a spin which could of ended his race, well done dude.
If anyone wants to see it skip to around lap 10 11 or 12 and enjoy!

What's confusing about that? 3:55.6 was the second slowest fast lap.

Although I never really had any drafting help since I screwed my race on the first lap anyway.

hehe... I did clean-air laps in the race that were almost 2s faster than my qualifier due to the red-mist boiling in my brain from being Romain Grosjean'd on lap 1, chicane 1.
And then being Pastor Maldonado'd 8 laps later in the Porsche curves after taking ~20 seconds off of the 1'30 I lost lap1.

Perhaps I should qualify angry... apparently I drive better when I'm too mad to focus on anything else. :mischievous:

When will d2 results be up ?

later today as I said 3 posts above :P

Car handled great, but wasn't fast. Not sure what else to say.

IIRC Basse did the D2 fast lap @ 3:51 in draft with his Z.

maybe you guys should meld your setup strategy since you're reliable but struggling for pace and he's fast as stink but unreliable.

out-right-speed I was expecting the Z to be very good at Le Sarthe and Monza.

Good race yesterday. Draft tracks keep the field together which makes for exciting racing. Maybe not totally fair, and the purist might not like it, but its fun and that's why we do this, right, or?.

There were probably the occational cornercutting by most, but I haven't seen anything too bad or frequent. My input to the organizers would be to only penalize bad offenders if there are any. Penalties is very difficult to handle as it needs to be consistent through the field which is not that easy to accomplish.

Had a fun race. First stint was just sitting the draft train inpossible to make a pass as tha car in front also had draft. Most drivers around me was very careful in the breaking zone but there were some exceptions. To me, being clear behind as you enter the breaking zone and then going for the pass is a no-no, but some do.

Big mistake at the pitstop after lap 8. With just over half tank left I didn't take on any fuel. I had only done 3 lap tests before the even, so I didn't know I needed to add fuel.

Driving more by myself I had great pace in the second stint catching, passing and creating a gap. Around lap 12 I started to realize my mistake and that I didn't have fuel for the distance. On lap 15 I cought up with Eddie and Freak and would have had a race for third but it wasn't to be. Had to go into the pits for a costly splash&dash and ended up 8th I think.

Even so, thorowly enjoyed the race yesterday. Great bunch of racers ..... and great to see Nissman joining.

I hardly ever had draft though. Most of the race I ran alone, and near the end when I caught a couple cars coming out of the pits I was on old tires and saving fuel.

I think most setups that are "fast" are too loose for me. I like a tighter setup.

You should be in an SC430 then. Car's nailed to the ground to the point where I'm putting all my effort in making it looser.

Where I agree, loose and scary is the only way to go fast in the Z. (that's why I put it very low on my list and why Nige is crazy quick in it having driven the scary bannana YMS supra last year)

What kind of top speeds did you guys do without draft ?

Really wished i went real low downforce considering i raced the whole race basically by myself .

With 40 on front and 61 on rear i got a top speed of 292 kmh without draft

I sometimes got the SC to blip at 290 kmh at full downforce. 299 kmh with minimum downforce but then it would not make it through Porsche curves alive :mischievous:

So I decided I would rather set it up for a chance for escape in the curves, there is no getaway on the straights anyway.

I've come to the same conclusion. I think the Z suits me better, as I despise cars that understeer like the Lexus.

I'm not talking monster understeer, just something that's "stable".

Anything that doesn't snap oversteer at a moments notice is "monster understeer" for Rich though. :sly:

The Lexus drives more like the stock-street cars only with good aero.

BTW, have you tried putting the rigidity enhancement on? That tends to add some push and lets you run basically no ARB and soft setup to get mechanical grip out of the suspension.

It ruins the SC430 but I ran it on my GTR quite successfully last year with the only downside being chewed up fronts in the twisty bits.

Might be worth testing on a second car.
