Anyone free either now or tomorrow? I want to get my times done.

if you open a room I could hop in and watch.

oh, in related news Grand-Am is at Laguna Seca this weekend. so there will probably be lots of good gossip about the ALMS buy-out. In the US the grand-am race is live broadcast on Speed, and the continental tire race (which has Bryan of NA GT-Academy winning) is being web-cast on speed2 live saturday @ 2:30 Pacific.

There's four slots in the room. Didn't want too many (random non-affiliated) people jumping in.

bah... i'm getting 768 connection errors.

try joining with me hosting:

...

looks like the same problem eh?

i'm going to bounce my network then... you might want to try the same, then i'll open another one.

Darn, 768 error. My NAT Type and Bandwidth are much better today too, doesn't make any sense....

did you clear your network cache in GT5 when you reset?

when was the last time you checked to see if you had any system updates waiting?
I think I put one on a couple weeks ago. Haven't had any conflicts till now. :/

Ah, I'm doing an update now.

Anyway, I'll leave it for tomorrow. I got an ALMS race to be booted from/hopefully join without DCing. :D

Sorry to muck you about...

its not a buy-out

Everything I've seen says:
1. ACO has been pulling back (petit isn't on the WEC calendar, their last agreement cut their LM24 entries, P1 has basically no manufacturer support).
2. Panoz had ALMS up for sale for a couple years with no buyers.
3. GARRA and NASCAR holdings took ownership of the tracks and the organization.

So it's a buy-out until more reports this weekend from teams, owners, manufacturers, etc... Cali is a great place to gossip. :)
The announcement was even in Daytona. :P

Just joined with AIM Autosport and will miss the first 2 races. Looking forward to having great competition!

yes, this is everything that I was thinking because I read your comment wrong and thought you meant ALMS was buying Grand Am :)

I love ALMS and Grand Am and while ALMS has always been my favorite with 5 classes and only 2 competitive P1 cars out of a field of 3 the series has really lost focus and appeal. Anyway can't wait for 2014!

Sorry Tom, as much I've looked forward to this event I've really been put off by some of the driving and actions I've seen from racing in another Pure league. I might come to the next one though if I have a change of heart.

Good luck with this though, it looks like an awesome series

I'd give it a shot if I were you buddy, there's not really anybody here that I see as a liability on the track. What specifically made you come to this decision?

Sorry for not being able to get on and qualify you Indy and Tez, hope you got on and qualified each other maybe? I was practising for the Sprint Cup and then went off to get dinner.

I'm not really one to float names around or anything. I've made plans now for tomorrow but if I have a change of heart I will let you know next week.

I am sorry to say that I am not going to make it tomorrow :(. I have to work tomorrow morning.

I'll just start from the back, no energy at all to Q now. If there's anybody screwed over by timing/availability who hasn't been able to get a run in I'll wave the deadline and do them pre race if you get in early.

same here, I haven't bothered to qualify and don't really want to, I know I'm the one who decided to do week-long qualifying but its a bit of a hassle to get online just for a quali run.

I was planing to do it last night but the girlfriend decided to have world war 3 with me. Lol

Just letting you know Tom, I will be missing the next 3 races after this one (I think, I may make it back from my dad's house in time for the race)
