Qualifying Information
The Top Ten Racers in the qualifying event will make up the team, the next top ten racers will be substitutes in the event that a particular event cannot be completed by a racer.

The qualifying races will be all the Time Trials in GT3. This was chosen to insure that we pick the best "Drivers" that we can. Settings and Modifications will come from group input during the Board vs. Board series.

Each Race will be based on the point system. Here's how it works:

  • 1st Place - 10 Points
  • 2nd Place - 8 Points
  • 3rd Place - 6 Points
  • 4th Place - 4 Points
  • 5th Place - 2 Points
  • 6th Place - 1 Point
  • all other places will be given no points for that event.

Once all the Time Trials are done, the points will be added up and the members with the most number of points makes the team.

Also, feel free to PM me will any questions or concerns.

Is it allright if I send you my best times for most of those Time Trials now?

Don't you have to have at least 200 posts to participate?

Guys, I don't recommend doing most of these qualifying races all at once. I just can't stress the importance of this challenge enough. We have to win. Take your time, find the best line...make sure you're the best you can be!

I am going to go right now and start to qualify. I will be back on later to give you some of my times. Wish me luck everybody. I hope I make the cut. Well.....here I go...... :burnout:

I know what this is, but can someone explain to me exactly what this is and how it works? I'm planning to get my GT3 bundle back on Thursday and try to get these times and submit them as soon as I get 200 posts and as soon as there is another race. So if anyone would be kind enough to go into extreme detail how this works, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

P.S. Is there an age regulation on this?

freakin rally races are pissin me off.......everything else is easy but then they gotta add some rally's in there

Hey SuperCharged, welcome to GTPlanet! You might find some more information in this thread: http://forums.gtplanet.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3313. And no, there is no age limit. As long as you're fast, you're on the team. :D

I do not mean to be rude, but I tried to set up the local series with an e-mail set up and have had few replies, granted it is for GT2, but I was wondering if the e-mail address aspect was a problem, yet I see this is done by e-mail.

Call me a baby, but I can't help feeling like I waisted my time.

I might try to qualify.

Hope to see you on the track, we need your Talent. :D

It's not like I'm planning to cheat or anything, but how do you find out people are submitting false times?
Hi SuperCharged, welcome to GTPlanet! We discover if someone is cheating if they submit times that are either impossible to achieve or do not add up.

And if you catch them submitting false times, what do you do to them other than disqualify them?
They will be permanently banned from GTPlanet.

Dang. That's pretty harsh. We'll I don't have to worry about that because I won't be cheating. I just hope GT3 doesn't make any addition mistakes to get me banned. What I have to be worried about now is getting those 200 posts down. I've got a long way to go.
