Question about Nvidia Shield recall replacement

I bought my original Shield tablet from Amazon UK with a promo code for Half-Life 2, Episode 1, and Portal. I redeemed the code on the original tablet, and downloaded them from the Play Store (meaning that they should be tied to my Google Play account). However, when logging into the same Google Play account on the replacement tablet, Google Play is making me purchase the games again. In the Nvidia Grid, it also asks for me to repurchase the games. Is there any way for me to redownload the games, or will I have to buy them again?

Have you tried asking Amazon and/or Google? Seems to me they'd be in a much better position to answer this.

I would suspect they would be, I was just thinking in case anyone had been in the same position and solved the issue.
