Question: How to properly add decals to side of hood on 962C and C9 Le Mans Racers

Hey folks. Ive searched youtube and here before but it seems like its not a problem for anyhone but me. When I try to add the decals like Bosch, Michelin etc to the lower sides of front hood of both the Merc C9 and Porsche 962C it goes all wonky. Even adjusting it so I can actually read Michelin for example, its curved or deformed. No matter which of the two projection methods (Align with Surface/Align with Camera) I choose nothing I do works.

Trying to recreate the full C9 and Rothmans livery on the respective cars but cant complete it because of the mapping shenanigans on both cars front end.

Pic below. Top crazy looking curved decal going through the lights actually says Dunlop lol...It was the best I could get it using "Align with Camera". The lower better looking Dunlop is still massively curved but you can read it. It was the best I could get with "Align with Surface".

Can anyone help? Thanks.

You use align with camera and move the camera to look at the section of car you want to put the decal on.
