Sorry, my mistake, i saw the 230 bit and thought it must have been the SLK230's lump. R230 is the internal code for the latest SL class Merc isn't it

I saw a Chrysler Le Baron at the junkyard with a body kit to make it look like an R129 Mercedes SL, I have a feeling the owner soon realized the kit did not include the reliability of the donor car... When I went back with a camera the car had been smushed, horrific end to a horrific creation

lol I never actually saw the crushed car though I did check the stacks to see if i recognized it, the yard I go to has a thing that if the car is crushed the wheels are taken off and set aside in case someone wants to buy them, if the wheels are nice they usually end up near the entrance/checkout area and upon walking in that say I noticed a stack of 129 wheels... if they weren't so scarred I would have gotten them for my ride.
Another "wish I had a camera" moment was at the local fair when I witnessed a 124 with a 210 headlight conversion (among many other tasteless upgrades), now I didn't particularly like those headlights on a 210 but the completely ruined a perfectly good 300E with those units
