That's why you make sure you laugh when you're taking the pictures.

I thought of that when I saw a bunch of guys taking pictures of a questionably modified Yukon earlier. I'll be sure to snag a pic of it sometime.

Took out 400 lbs of Renault Fail and put in 600 lbs of Win..

I fail to see the issue here.. ;-)
He put in probably the single worst possible engine for the application short of a diesel, almost certainly so he could boast about it rather than any performance benefit it has. Its no less questionable than me correctly installing a downforce-producing spoiler on my Blazer.

It looks good yes, but the kitchen handles for a grill, a little too much customization

Interestingly enough, it really isn't that hard to do that. Aerostars are essentially Bronco IIs with sliding rear doors, so for better or worse you could get all the parts to do that after a single trip to a junkyard. I think more fun would be getting a model with AWD, plopping a Pinto engine in there and turboing it to 400 HP. It would be like owning a Sierra RS Cosworth, only it being a van.

That van is pretty win. I'd drive it.
The golf cart is win
The hot rod is pretty cool imo

I've got a new one for ya:

That'd be a PT Cruiser convertible, B&Q edition. On sale in Houston for the princely sum of $4595. Apparently someone thought that Top Gear did such a brilliant job with an Espace that they'd try and replicate it. Hmm.

Especially since you can BUY a PT convertible... Though technically this one is a phaeton of sorts.

That car is local to me... 900whp+, mid 8's on the quarter mile.

Yeah, I don't see the questionable in that at all, once you get past the issue of dragracing FWD cars in the first place.

Pah, don't knock it 'till you try it, I say. If it's got wheels and an engine, it can and should be raced... or at the very least, try to do so.

Pretty much this.
Otherwise we'd all be running around in the same "ideal car" for whatever it is we want to do.

I have tried it, thank you, and I agree that you can race anything and have fun. But you have to admit that with FWD drag racing you are starting with a disadvantage because of the dynamics. It's not as subtle as the difference between, say, a Miata and a DC2/5 Type R on a road course. Drag is all about the launch, and with the wheels on the end that weight is moving away from, your drivetrain is just not benefiting from the inherent dynamics of the venue.

This is not to say FWD cars suck and this person is an idiot. Far from it.

That blue Civic just made me throw up in my mouth...I assume this taste I have on my tounge is what the shame the driver should be feeling for doing that to his car should taste like. :yuck:
