I can't understand why people put fake badges (you see it alot of C230/250's with AMG badges) on their car because, to people who dont know cars, it means nothing, and people who actually know something about cars just laugh and think it is dumb

Exactly you lose out either way, I feel it's always been a futile attempt by those owners to feel that they own more than they're willing to pay or can pay.
