Questions and Answers

This is what I use, on the sliding scale from one to five:

Gears - 3
Downforce - 2
Suspension - 1
Ride height - 2
Brake bias - 3
Differential - 3

But I pretty much use that for every event.

Thanks. I will give it a try next time I get on!

There is no need now that this already exists. I also don't have as much knowledge as some others do on this game which is why I never started one... But don't use that as an argument against me; I do like to have organization in a forum in general.

Unfortunately though it's not your forum, if the OP never claimed to index everything he has no responsibility to. It's not as if there's some underlying contract which means you have to 'commit' to your thread, people are free to create then never post again or do anything if they so wish. Ultimately however there haven't been to many repeat questions so far, but being a less busy section of GTP it takes no time at all to give someone an answer even if it's been asked before.

If it's such a big deal for someone that someone can make a Q&A index thread and do it themselves. You (and other) asked for it, he doesn't want to do it so either one of you do it yourself or get over it.

I was over it....All I was saying was that it's not difficult to create a Q&A Index for this game currently, and I have stated my reasons for not doing so....

Also, did you miss this?

AOS-
If all else fails, just asks any questions here, regardless of how many times asked.

No I did not miss that, but on the same basis there was no need to ever bring it up at all if that's how you feel. It's just hypocritical to complain that someone else isn't doing something you wouldn't do yourself and frankly unnecessary.

Is there a way to delete your in-game profile? I want to re-start my game once the Shibuya DLC is made available, but I'd heard that if you do it, you won't actually be able to do the Monte Carlo events. I started a new game today, and that issue appears to have been fixed (if it existed at all), but now I have two profiles when I only want the one.

Bought the game in Spain and took it back to my country (Colombia). Tried to redeem the VIP Pass. Invalid. Is it so because its another region?

If I were to buy a pass from the US PSN Store my account is registered as, would it work?

CodeMasters Customer Service is brilliant, fast, nice... I'm impressed. Still have no online though.

Did you go to the website on the card and type that in there? After that they send you an email with the code you type into the PS Store.

Yeah I did, but it kept telling me the code did not exist. My solution was to create a Spanish PSN account and validate the code from that Store. Online works on all PSNs now.

ok, thanks haha

i just take a look to this game today, and i'm really interested on it i love rally and i hate this "automatic stages" of gt5.

I just downloaded the lastest patch and ran into a problem: the patch downloaded successfully, but the game no longer opens in a window. Instead, it's almost as if it's embedded in the desktop. I can't enlarge it to fill the screen, which is really distracting. Maybe it's because I haven't restarted my computer since downloading the patch.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Have you tried pressing Alt and the Enter keys together at the same time.

Can the annoying co-poliot voice be turned off in Dirt 2. I find it to be distracting listening to the voice telling me where to go when half the time it is telling me after I have passed that point.

Hi guys, sorry for bumping an old thread, but I need someone to help me please... I just bought DIRT 3 from PSN,but,I can't buy Mud and Guts and Power Glory car pack in PSN,they just arent there... Is strange cause when I log in game,it says the packs are available for buy,but when I click,it redirects me to PSN,and none of then are in there. I know the game is quite old but I did a long search and did not find any explanations for this, everywhere says they are in PSN...I really want to buy these DLCs but can't do this at all. What happened to the DLCs of DIRT 3? Thanks!

How 'sim-like' is DiRT Rally? It looks amazing and I want a good rally game but I was disappointed with SLRE.

This is what I have been waiting for, IMO the best life like Rally game on console yet, great smooth graphics, Plenty of Sim settings to tweak, No Rewinds/Gymkhanas/Ken Block Drifting or any arcade Flashbacks this time, Hard as you want it to be, Great audio (he was recorded in a motion simulator so as you hit a bump his voice breaks a little as you go over it:eek:). If you played the Original 'DiRT' I would say it has gone back to its roots and worth a punt, all the reviews and feedback on here are very positive.

I have been holding back to see what this game was like before getting both WRC5/SLR alongside it but not sure I will now, this game is probably all I need for my rally fix. :)

I have followed rally for a long long time since a kid, been a passenger in rally and had Rally games since SNES/Dreamcast/PS1,Colin Mcrae games/Sega Rally and love it. I don't think you will be disappointed if you like or have any type of Rally/Cross blood in you.👍

Thanks for clearing that up guys. I will get down and DiRTy in the next couple of days.

👍

Did you manage to get hold of it yet? 👍 What are your first impressions? :)
Yep, I got it Saturday evening but haven't played it much yet as I was working today. Tomorrow evening will be my first proper session.

First impressions are that it is brilliant but damn difficult. I have become so accustomed to circuit racing with Project CARS that the change to a realistic rally game is tough. All I have tried are random stages, a half attempt at Pikes Peak and two Rally Cross races.

The sound is fantastic and the engines are glorious. I had a go at a stage in Greece and your could hear the engine revs warble going uphill after exiting a slow corner. Fabulous.

This is the rally game I have been waiting for from Codemasters for about 10 years and is that company at it's best. It is also the first Codemasters game I've bought since their first F1 game.

After the disappointment of Sebastian Loeb Rally Evo and the enjoyable yet unpolished WRC5 I am delighted with DiRT Rally.

I have few problems with it at the moment, which is a good thing. The big things are that there's no tire wear, no tire compounds/tread selection, and cars behave strangely when in the air (though they may have fixed that, I haven't been really pushing for good times in a while). Cars also seem like they have a little too much grip, especially the newer WRC cars.

Otherwise I really don't have any complaints. The physics are not perfect, but they're good enough for the purpose of the game and to immerse you in driving the car. Immersion is one of the things Dirt Rally really got right. I don't think I've felt anything in any other sim quite like driving a Group B car on a rainy night in Wales.
