Not to harp about the clock again, but it looks like they Photoshopped it into the dash or something.

I didn't even notice but now...it's not in the middle and it's driving me insane. Who on earth doesn't put the luxurious analogue clock in the middle? If I wanted a gigantic digital navigation screen I'd have bought an Audi.

Drophead RENDER

It's very rear-heavy, it's oddness reminds me of an Ascona C Hatchback in some sense. :odd:

Not to question how much prestige or tradition you get by buying brand A or B, but based on looks, I'd buy a Continental GT in a heartbeat over this. The Conti manages to hide it's bulk through a muscular shape, this just doesn't.

Not really a fan. Might look better without the two-tone paint, as it certainly doesn't do the roofline any favours...

I agree on the Continental, I'd much rather have one, even if it isn't a Rolls.

Make the body black, and the top some sort of platinumish gray and it's quite elegant. A white top also makes it smooth. It's like a tuxedo.

Don't they already have a Phantom drophead? I thought the Wraith was just a Phantom coupe?

The Wraith is a coupe version of the Ghost. The Phantom is a bit bigger.

Saw one of these in person the other day. Reshad Jones of the Miami Dolphins has one in white. The thing is with the RRS, you can't even tell what model it is because all of them are so freaking gigantic. They look like slammed SUVs. Absolutely huge cars.

They're pretty big, but even so there's a fairly sizeable difference between the Wraith/Ghost (which are merely large - BMW 7-Series-ish) and the Phantom, which is a leviathan.

I drove the Wraith recently and it's nowhere near as intimidating as I expected a modern R-R to be. I think it's because modern SUVs feel even larger - probably not as long but definitely as wide, and width is the main problem with cars, at least in the UK.

Did you experience the Sat-Nav lead Gearbox? I've wondered how well that would work.

That one is hard to judge, since it was at Millbrook. I'm not sure which bits of Millbrook are considered proper "roads" as such in the satnav - and if they are, then I can only report that it was so seamless I didn't notice it happening!

I spent some time in a customer's Ghost and I have to say...I much prefer a different customer's Alpina B7. The interior is much more fitted and comfortable for a skinny guy who likes to control the car, but I also feel the Alpina materials and fit and finish are better. There's more usable storage and the ergonomics are better. There were parts in the Ghost that I was very disappointed in quality-wise, especially considering the price. Maybe if I were fat and lazy I'd enjoy the RR thing. I think the current (not the new one) S-classes are actually nicer and more manageable as well.
