I would be doing twice as good if I wasn't disconnected from every other race:(
My internet has been getting worse lately, I really need to sort it out

You can't just base it on a single track though. Ford handles the best so it will be quickest at places like Autumn Ring.
Other than Autumn ring mini, Focus will be at a huge disadvantage. I'll have a good lap time because of tune, but I'll be unable to do anything in the race because I'm getting nerfed for effort. Last season, the same thing happened, but I didn't say anything because I knew I'd be only occasionally competing whereas this season, I'll be here hopefully for every round

Yes the problem with a good handling car is that it is usually slower on the straights. It has to be to keep it balanced. This means you can just never get alongside anyone to overtake with your superior grip, so you have to just keep pressuring them and hope they make a mistake. I had this problem all last season the with Hondas when I was driving BMW.

However this problem would probably be almost non-existent if Andrew upped the slipstream a level. But we don't run the series. You are told all the regulations, so use a car that works best for you. If you think another car is faster, why not use that car instead?

This is how I ran a majority of my races today, I waited for the faster guys to mess up, while I passed the slower guys. Me being off pace was lack of momentum however. The Renault speculations are fine.

Also @ITCC_Andrew any idea when I'll be contacted by Renault?

Once again, I was attacked in my Achilles Heel in race 1 when the track was full wet. Worse, I had Comfort Soft tires on the car at the start. I should have put the Full Wets on before the race. :(

For race 2, I opted to start on the Inters given the track was at 30% wetness and it seemed to pay off at first when I had the lead briefly. Eventually, the track dried out and I gradually fell back towards the rear and eventually pitted for Mediums near the end of the race.

For race 3, I though of tweaking with the transmission settings a bit might help with getting up to speed quicker. I think it worked because I was able to gain 2 spots from where I started between the start and finish.

The finale was a real tight one as I didn't want to bump anyone and ruin their respective races. There was a instance or two wher someone I bumped went off rack and I lifted the throttle to let them back in front of me.

Now with the Nurburgring DTM track on for next week, I'll see if I can get the car to be as quick at that track. Though there aren't that many lengthy straights as Silverstone National. I also noticed @nascarfan1400 took advantage of short-cutting the NGK Chicane twice in the test race to gain a positional advantage. Any chance we can turn the settings for the penalties on to prevent this for next week?

That's just me being stupid in a test race. I think everyone in ITCC can be trusted not to do that in the real deal.

@cnd01, the Ford might possibly get its 5 hp back, but it's not as slow as you say it is. The fact that you're complaining shows me that you're interested, and that you want to win. :mischievous: So, welcome back. We've been expecting you.

Nas, to the first part, I must say you did an awesome job of defending your position in Race 3... To my displeasure. :grumpy: Well done lad!

To the second part: May 17th is when all drivers will be locked in completely. There may or may not be some shuffling of positions - generally those who fail to impress a single manufacturer beyond their acceptance point, but who impress numerous manufacturers slightly (à la @Siggers .)

------------------------------------------------------------

Speaking of Siggers... I will need to expand the D/C procedure to consider a maximum amount of delays in the schedule. We were like 10-15 minutes behind our rough schedule today, (which isn't bad by last season's standards,) and I'd prefer to be minute-by-minute on schedule, like Race 1... Which was simply epic in every sense of the word.

-------------------------------------------------------------

@JacobRPP, I think you've made a splash in that BMW, given that it's beyond extremely difficult to drive, your positions weren't very bad. You said you wanted a challenge, and you've got it.

---------------------------------------------------------------

@Spurgy 777 - I wasn't expecting anyone to be able to tame the BMW as you have. I was being generous while spec'ing it, imagining that it would be next-to-impossible to drive... But, you're showing good pace with it. I might add more ballast to it, and recommend that BMW drivers set it towards the front a bit, in order to stabilize it at the cost of overall lap time - something you're fine with  It was truly excellent racing with you today, though. One is left to wonder "what took you so long?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------

@Turbo_snail, I won't push for a penalty or anything, but your Race 1 slip-up in T2 (the one where you T-boned me) really was a close call for the amount of opposite lock I needed to save myself.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

@LancerEvo7, Peugeot - as a manufacturer - are threatening to pull the plug on your testing spot, unless you switch rims. There's always gotta be someone who thinks "I know what will 🤬 Mel off the most, gawdy chrome nonsensical pink rims." :irked: (and if you think I'm serious, I am - @buck1 made all of the jokes last season)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

@Ettick, you hoonigan. Stop being Krieger...

Edit: @CAMikaze, you did really well for a car with Comfort Softs...

But I like my rims. :(

Actually? Okay............... Just don't expect to be featured in many photoshoots  It kinda kills the mood when there are random pink cars with pink/chrome rims in the middle of a serious-looking touring car series.

I'm really just being nit-picky, but I've always been a huge fan of uploading post-race photos to flickr.

Same here. That's why I nearly go crazy when I see someone without a wing.

Cheers, @ITCC_Andrew it was my second time driving the thing. As @Spurgy 777 said, it needs a very gentle touch on the accelerator. A few more runs, I would probably have it up to speed, and hopefully a better tuned setup for me.

I like the fact that it has amazing turn in power. You can just place that thing controlled.

I had the ballast 100% on the rear tyres, trying to get as much grip on the back wheels. Bit be worth a shot to transfer some of the balance to the front, to even out the balance of the car, ea. not as much weight transfer in braking.
