Is there any laptimes about as a baseline? And on what track?

Bathurst: 2:23.xxx, 2:22.xxx is a rather fast lap

Trial Mountain: 1:33.xxx (same as in ITCC 2/3) is a decent lap, 1:32 pretty fast

Deep Forest Raceway: 1:22.xxx is a fast lap

Apricot Hill Raceway: 1:17.xxx is alien, 1:18.2-3xx is YaShoe's pace, 1:18.5 is my pace.

Pick your poison.

Which cars ran those laps?

@ Morten, me, me, me!

@ Connor, Honda, Audi, BMW, Alfa and/or Vauxhall. :) Volvo *still* on Sports tires :( other cars (SEAT, Peugeot, etc.) I haven't tested as much.

I've set it up in what I believe is the right way. Only the tyres are missing :)

Should we install all upgrades on the cars?

Racing hards, and all upgrades on everything except BMW and Audi for now.

Note: You should only use as much as necessary for weight reduction, including always carbon hood and lightweight windows, in order to make your car fit to specs, so that success ballast can be fitted.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up 👍

Are you sure the 1:17 for Apricot Hill is correct? I only managed a 1:32 on SS..

5 seconds off pace sounds more like it, some of that is likely the missing setup. If I was 15 seconds off, I'd be glad to finish a race less than 3 laps behind

You need to put on RH tires. Aaarg! You're telling me that you're on SS tires. <---- there's the majority of your problem. Then Ciro - I mean someone very generous - will help with the tuning setup for another second and you'll be plenty fast.

Hey, the gap in performance between SS and RH isn't much more than a second or two every lap. Now, my lap on CS, on which I managed a 1:40, that was quite fun. I vote for CS to be used next season

I'd like to use the honda thank you, by the way andrew, do you want me to do some driver bio's or atleast draft some?

That would be awesome. Also, you need to jump at the chance to create the second/final Honda team then... Imagine having two factory Honda teams!

@Siggers, when you make up your mind, please post it. :) We certainly would like to see you again for another season.

Edit: BMW drivers should see this... (Spin) Problem Handling Cars list

At 6:30 AM? As much as I'd like to, there's a school and driving theory exam I have no choice but to attend :)

Official test session (before the first preseason round) today at normal time! We will practice then.

@rallymorten, success ballast will likely be 30 kg. For @gtpcaine, 25 kg. For @jammy21, and 0 kg. For everyone else. Otherwise, silly-fast aliens aside, I haven't decided on success ballast quite yet. I will have a mock-up of the success ballast system by Christmas or earlier.

I'll update your information.

Everyone: I'd like to see pictures of your cars posted in the thread for those who *have* chosen their cars... I'm planning on doing a portion of the OP up with team bios, and apparently BW is doing driver bios. :) Therefore, obviously, we need pictures.

Please include car and driver (avatar) please. :)

1. I meant the upper limits for ballast. Right now I don't care if I get 10 or 50 kg for a win, I just need to know if the most success ballast we can get is 60/70/80 etc. kg. :)

2. Not sure if I can make it to the regular test. Some of us *cough* are not yet on holiday.

3. I'll see if I can make my avatar pose for the camera (would a photo travel-thingy image be enough if all fails?). Any restrictions on the car photo? Or can I take a photo of the back of it on a dark Nordschleife? :sly:

Ah, okay, was just wondering if there was some way similar to GT5. Well then, time to find the most ridiculous photo travel mode for my avatar
