Ok i'm losing track

@nascarfan1400, alright, there will still be 40 spots for sign ups, but only 16 drivers per race day.

@BMW discussion - It's a bit of a "what if" series - we've got BTCC and WTCC cars from 1998-2006. The BMWs were in WTCC before 2007, so they stay too. BTCC, their appearance was 2007.

2006, Martyn Bell.

Talking specifically about ITCC cars, the 330i was first in 2007.

Edit: (BTCC specifically, BMW 330i was in WTCC in 2005 because it raced against the Alfa Romeos which pulled out in 2006.)

Yeah, 2006.....

320i in WTCC/BTCC, 3 litre engines wouldn't be in. But I get it, closest thing to it on GT.

Lots of plans coming together.

Anyways, here's the predecessor for the points tables:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AuxLEe4lit9PdGdJeWRMWEFuNkx4SldMeE1aS3dmMGc&usp=sharing

Currently, you'll notice, only drivers who have filled in all information are listed. Drivers with missing information - or those who signed up a bit later than others - have been left for a later date. Once someone's position on that table is decided, it cannot be changed to another manufacturer, so I'm only putting those who have decided on all details up.

Edit: The Team's Championship part will be updated tomorrow. For now, goodnight!

Yay!

Also, as an FYI, I've posted a possible solution to the "in case forty people register" possible problem to the original post (post #1) in the thread.

Qualifying System:
In ITCC 4, there will be no maximum number of entries. Anyone and everyone will always be allowed to join, except as penalized for poor conduct. However, in case more than 16 drivers register, only 16 of the fastest drivers will be able to participate, following a systematic qualifying race group.

In the qualifying Race 1, the first 16 drivers to join the lobby will qualify and race immediately. The top 8 will go on to race in the finals. The lower 8 will be shuffled back into the lobby, where they will be set against 8 more in qualifying and a race. The top 4 resultants will go on to race in the finals. Then bottom twelve will go against the remaining 4 in the final qualifying race. The top 4 will go on to finals, leaving 16 of the fastest in the race.

With no points scored for not qualifying, all drivers will be forced to push themselves to the limits to qualify or be sent packing with no points - in a championship, a 0 point DNS is a big loss.

Although this doesn't take effect until we've got more than 16 registered drivers, that point is quickly approaching ( :D ) so it will become relevant shortly.

Should be more than possible for me :D

So, let me get the qualifying/race procedure right:

The first 16 drivers to enter qualify and race right away. The 8 best go on to the finals. The 8 who did not qualify for the finals gets a second chance against 8 new drivers, rinse and repeat?

I might be overthinking this, but wouldn't that give them an un-fair advantage? I know I might be making too much of it, but you, @ITCC_Andrew, of all people, should know why I'm doing this, *cough* :)

You mean, they should only get one chance, go or go home style? Then the second group will be entirely different (all 15 other drivers) and then the top 8 from there go in, too? Or, what?

On Saturday, we'll be running with an "all-welcome" type room - no go-or-go-home qualifying.

However, the qualifying for the full season has been decided on:

for events with more than 16 entrants, two lobbies will be opened, with separate qualifying sessions. The fastest 8 from both lobbies will advance. It is expected that all drivers will attempt to evenly space out the lobbies.

For events with more than 32 entrants (however unlikely,) three lobbies will be opened. The fastest 5 from each will automatically advance. It is expected that all drivers will attempt to evenly space out the lobbies. The 16th fastest driver will also get in to the main lobby, behind the fastest 15 from the three lobbies.

For events with 16 or fewer entrants, there will not be go-or-go-home qualifying.

sorry i'm a bit new to this method.. when you say fastest, do you mean the top 8 after a race or just practice lap times???

Ahhh, good question. Both, actually. Qualifying to see who makes it into the round will be done by 3 minutes of qualifying and then a 3 lap race... Except for Nürburgring Nordschleife and all of the layouts that use the Nordschleife, which is a case-by-case ordeal.

I trust you, but it's entirely different when you're 4 - or even 5 - wide in a corner with 11 other drivers around.

 For example, the orange Civic at the very far outside (left side) ran out of room and spun in the grass trying to hold the position against the other drivers on the inside, and ended up in spinning across the track. Woops. Your teammate, @Turbo_snail is in the soft blue Mazda, and yes he was leading. :)

Edit: Just saw this...

so 3 min qualy, 3 lap race then; qualy & race then; reverse grid race.. ???

Precisely.

3 minute qualifying, 3 lap race (no points)

*top 16 now battle for points*

5 minute qualifying then straight into a 50 km. race.

10 minute break

50 km. race, reversed grid by previous race finish order...

Count me out of tomorrow's race, maybe the entire season. It turns out borrowing a game that's actually mine (GT6) with me up to my dad's place to play it (like it's meant to) is illegal according to my parents 👎 now I can prepare to be checked from head to a-word the next 6 months :grumpy:

It's unbelieveable actually. You'd think that once I've been given it (that's 2 weeks ago), it's mine to use and decide about. But no, apparently not. I'm 18, for crying out loud!

Sorry about the rant, but now you have the reasoning for it :(

Holy ****, really?? :(
