Duh. The fact I'm nagging you in PMs alone doesn't tip you off to that?

I can't wait for Christmas... I actually have no idea what I'm getting - but I know that you'd better get GT6 so you can actually join us like you've been saying... And maybe I'll get my graphite gray lug nuts. :D

I will!

So, the fastest 16 might get 3x the points that the slower drivers get, but all 40 (possible) drivers get to race. I will never turn people away from racing with us - this isn't @Furinkazen's ToCA series. :P
.

Get lost with the b!tching. You preach ITCC plugs everywhere and then go on with snarky remarks. I don't turn people away. Check your facts, and maybe be fast enough to actually race for one.

EDIT: Realised this was obvious flame bait. Carry on.

... Just mentioning how you send people home if they can't afford all of their bits, can't match a certain pace, or can't have the correct colour of hood. No need to get worked up. Carry on indeed.

Don't you have some strange rule about how an independent driver can't have a carbon coloured hood or something?

Actually it's preferred that Independents have a different hood yes, so you can tell what championship you're racing in. Never stopped anyone who hasn't had it though.

 Fair enough, still doesn't change the fact that you do send people packing for other things.

So keeping poor slow drivers out is bad :odd: ? And ensuring racing is the highest quality?

Not poor drivers. ...Slow drivers should be able to race, too. That's what I'm trying to say. I'm basically showing you that ToCA's (in my opinion, and not yours) flaws have been fixed to allow for everyone and their slow grandma to race here.

We welcome people. It's something you could do... :)

But, I'm done. This is getting off-topic and should stop.

Yeah, i'm getting bored of the little attacks as well.

When you have the awkward number of 18-22 trying to qualify, it's not so clear cut. Everyone voted for Furis' system some seasons ago and when given the option to change it, they kept it.

It's better to run a race with 16 than two of 9 or so. Sure you could make a race for the 2-4 or so who didn't make it but there'd not be much point really.

Fact is people voted to keep it and if you don't like it fine. Furi and most solo efforts don't have the time to try to organize multiple splits for a series. Those that can and have the partipitation to do it good going but most won't. Very much doubt this will either, you have to remember racers will miss some rounds and reserves more so.

Luckily at Pure we can do multi split series due having lots of capable hosts etc, another thing which is hard to come by in most series. (By that I mean guys who have ran their own series etc.)

Now, Mel you need to stop with this flame bait and get on with what your doing not what other people are doing.

Thanks for reading. ;)

I could've done without the "flame baiting" comments. Please stop.

Amazing how when I try to stop, everyone calls me a flame baiter even though I'm trying to stop.

Please stop.

Ladies, ladies, ITCC 3 was nerly locked because of childish games... So I shall pull us back OT...

You say there are no "screwed" points systems, dont tell me your concocting 6 championships. ITCC 3 Was almst too crazy.

No, no, don't worry. Four, actually:

Overall Driver's
Overall Team's
Independent Driver's
Independent Team's

What I'm talking about is the way that Split #1 can get, for example, 100 points for winning a race. Then, maybe Split #2 will get 60 points, and Split #3 will get 30. The fastest drivers still get more points, meaning that there's no sandbagging in qualifying.

But is different rooms necessary? In F1, if 29 drivers enter, they dont run a 24 car, then a 5 car race. They run one, 24 car race. I say we do a knockout type of qually, 16 every week, for one run group.

This is a wise post. There is no need for petty squabbles, so perhaps needlessly drawing people into the thread to take shots at them should be avoided.

Carry on with what matters - the racing - folks 👍

Thank you for joining, @STALLIONO, I'll post you in the OP shortly.

However, since you are in ITCC for your first season, I would have to put you in as an Independent driver - unless you insist, and demand to be a factory driver.

That said, I love the white BMWs. Alpinweiss is a great car colour... If you choose to use it. In BTCC, they do use that white.

Actually they used a black in 2013 on the 1 Series. But yes, when they used a 3 series it was white.

Would you enjoy being the one sent home, though? I could leave this open for discussion, but it's certainly not going to be without its pros and cons - which should be weighted against each other with logical thought.

Also:

I'm not poking fun at Furi, and I'll apologize if he thought I was... My intentions were more noble than that - to emphasize that I'm willing to allow people of all speeds to join ITCC... That it's not going to be all about "who's fast enough to get in."

I'm contrasting two separate ideas, not saying "Well, ToCA sucks." That's offensive and I'm not trying to say that.

That is something that I wrote for a conversation with @SlipZtrEm, and I'd like to extend an apology to @Furinkazen for my terrible wording on how I said that.

In 2005 it was Orange though ;).

Nope. 2007, when West Surrey Racing won the championship with Turkington, they were labelled Team RAC and ran orange. In 2005 I believe they were still running MG's, but don't quote me on that.

BMW where not in 2005.

2007 saw the first BMW's, including RAC. RAC was the name running the MGs prior as well

Motorbase then ran white Bimmers in 2008 incidentally. After RAC pulled funding in end of 2009, they became WSR and ultimately Ebay Motors WSR

Andrew, If im the one out of 17 that goes home early, so be it. At least Ill be able to tell where I am in points o.0

I believe you ar overthinking it. I mean, it makes more sense, and forces you to go 110%, or face missing the race due to sandbagging.

2009 was when Turks won but yes got my years wrong they started RAC in 2006, then moved to the BMW in 2007.

I said that without double checking so serves me right .

@nascarfan1400, alright, there will still be 40 spots for sign ups, but only 16 drivers per race day.

@BMW discussion - It's a bit of a "what if" series - we've got BTCC and WTCC cars from 1998-2006. The BMWs were in WTCC before 2007, so they stay too. BTCC, their appearance was 2007.
