[RACE] Weekend Fun Runs - Thnks fr th mmrsFinished

Good grief... The things than can erupt in a conversation all thanks to one driver, who hasn't even raced in the RACE rooms yet to be properly judged by other drivers. What do you suggest then, Angel, with all due and sincere respect? A driving test managed by one of the better drivers, to check if their driving standards are correct? Because if we do want to keep the driving standards right, let's formulate a plan instead of starting yet another needless war.
Not inviting people just to fill rooms would be a wonderful start. Not grabbing people that already have bad reputations...not being bipolar on what is expected in the rooms...there's a list.

It's time someone stood up and said "Hey, this isn't right." I'm not saying we start kicking people, but a specific someone needs to make up their mind about if they want clean standards or a mess.
Hey, I tried.

But to be fair I think that the harsh comments towards Harsk are uncalled for as we've (or at least I) have never seen his driving. I say even if he's bad, he at least tries to be friendly and a good sport from what I can see. Not to mention that duh comments could possibly end up in infraction points if a moderator interprets it as abuse towards another member. I'll reserve my own judgement until I actually see him drive.

We don't need this, everyone.

I'm fairly new here, so I don't really have anything constructive to say at the topic at hand. I already have my coat on

Had 50 million, in which I spent it on two 20 million cars, followed by a bunch of other cars.

Now I just have 387 credits.

If Harsk turns out to be a problem I would be happy to teach him to drive cleanly. I'm not fast but I can definitely drive cleanly.

Fair enough, points all taken. And as I said, I understand your concern, I am not being a jerk over this and claiming that you're wrong. That is not how I act as a person, because I know that you can be a level-headed person as well. But how can we really know if Harsk is bad in racing conditions when we haven't even seen him in proper racing action? Can we really perform that sort of rash judgement solely based on his rep?

And Whitetail's last words in his post say it all; "we don't need this". And I agree. The last thing we need is more arguments over this obesession over driving standards.

My comments aren't necessarily towards Harsk but towards Nas for continuing to shrug off and ignore suggestions and then turn around and complain that the issues are still there.

The image of fun runs is to have fun, relatively clean racing. I don't care about their history or their abilities. As long as they are able to race I will let them race. Angel, I guess you were never that person who got singled out of things for one quality. I have and I will not promote that kind of behavior in Fun Runs. You can say what you want, and you don't need to show up. We will be enjoying the races without you, I suppose. Your loss.

@Harsk100 we promote clean driving, so do what you can to keep from avoidable accidents. It's not as much about winning, as it is about having fun and learning new skills. We look forward to having you race with us :)

There's just too much drama here for my liking. Not sure if I even want to join any lobbies. Probably best for me if I don't.

I went through a lot of stuff to get this PS3 to play with you guys and ever since I've been back there's been drama after drama. I'm more interested in doing my own thing now thanks to it. :indiff:

I know that feel. I've been here pretty much since the beginning. What was once a fun, cheerful group of guys that had fun racing together. And now... Well, I'll not get into that. It's pretty much self-explanatory.
Because it's full of people who like to get mad over nothing.
Exactly.

That and there is not a set of simple rules to follow.

/end rant

Okay, guys lets just stop all this nonsense. A lot of us are tired of this drama, we come here to race and to have a good time, but now its becoming just a group of bickering and complaining. Yes there does need to be change (a set of rules is needed ASAP) and people are threatening to leave or at least not going to attend, but I feel bad for the people who are now choosing to join at a time of internal disarray and chaos. Now what I think may not be the opinion of all but it is my opinion. I will stay with you guys regularly until mid-August but then I will join when I can, but we need to look at it this way, We are an international group of people, coming from 5 continents and different walks of life, and to all meet up for a few hours to race on a game, a lot of us come on here to rewind and forget about the troubles of the day, have a few laughs and to talk with people on the other side of the world we would never have gotten to know other wise. Finally, I am going to say this lets put our many differences aside and just respect each other both on and off the track.

I understand if you all want to leave. There are times where I want to throw in the towel too. HOWEVER, I encourage you to read this and stay for at least one more weekend to try to change your mind:

  • Yellow Flag [Road Course] - (YELLOW, Y) - Be aware of the area denoted as yellow, there is a situation where the track is not clear.

It's still a WIP, and that is what I have so far.
